We are absolutely thrilled to announce that two of our incredible riding instructors (Hannah & Chelsea) have officially earned their CHA (Certified Horsemanship Association) certifications in both English & Western Riding! They both certified as level 3 instructors which means they both had to ride at a level 4 (the highest level) to achieve that certification!
What does it mean to be CHA Certified?
The Certified Horsemanship Association is an internationally recognized organization that promotes excellence in safety and education within the equine industry. To become certified, instructors must attend an intensive, 5-day clinic where certifiers rigorously test and evaluate them on:
Safety First: Ensuring the highest standards of safety for both horse and rider in every scenario.
Instructional Clarity: The ability to break down complex riding mechanics so they are clear, progressive, and easy to understand focusing on the WHY and HOW.
Herd Management: Correctly match horse and rider temperaments and maintain absolute control of the arena group.
Their certifier was the first woman to attend and graduate the Belgian Cavalry School! So she was no joke and Chelsea and Hannah still aced their certification with flying colors!
At Tenderfoot Stables, we are incredibly proud to cultivate a culture of lifelong learning. When our instructors continue their education, our entire community benefits.
Next time you see them at the barn, please join us in giving them a massive congratulations on this wonderful milestone!
