Life can be difficult at times for all of us.

Not only the method you teach but how you go about it, including your mindset and attitude.
Dogs have taught me that to communicate effectively, we have to control thoughts that influence emotions and stay in the moment.

Reba gained her NADD Dock Junior title. She is gaining more confidence. Two events for her this year.

Meg gained her NADD Dock Senior title. She added feet on to her jumps and figured out jumping at the end of the dock. We made two events this year.

Fall’s definitely here. Envy and Meg finished their OFA Advanced Cardiac test. The vet saw no issues but waiting for it to be official with OFA. Results received 10/15/2023 - Advanced OFA Cardiac results Normal - AO/CONG, AUSC/ECHO for both Envy and Meg.

Sooner or later, you lose 😱

During the time that puppies grow the most - up until approximately 7 months of age - they are often more motivated by food than play. After the growing stage however, food is often not as motivating for dogs as playing is. 🙃

If your puppy can choose between “hey, I could play with those other dogs - or play with my owner...” you have a good chance of being the winner of that contest for life. "

Day #2 recall off of deer. Yesterday didn’t go as planned with Skye. She didn’t fail but went further out than I wanted and left my range of site longer than I wanted. Today all the dogs were able to recall back from 400 yards. Skye recalled back from over the top of a hill.
