Deogies need to place the last dogs here in great places .

Another angel assigned to help animals has contacted us and has offered to fund our payroll that we may continue our efforts to get all of these fur kids into permanent homes and families or into other reputable rescues that can help by finding them forever families. This is our 3rd dead line extension . It’s been wonderful to experience this outpouring of help. You will be happy to know that even confined to the hospital I have found awesome homes for these 3. Bambi is being adopted my an awesome young man I first met as a volunteer here. So appreciate him and his desire to help by giving one of these babies a permanent home.

Then guess what …… Buster and Butch are going to Colorado to a family that has awesome references right here in MS. She moved to Colorado from here but has maintained helpful relationships inside the rescue network. We are presently planning the transportation for them and it should happen in the next few days . How awesome is that ? I will be posting updated pictures of those still awaiting their humans to come find them as soon as I can get someone to get fresh new ones .

Not only is she a beauty , she’s friendly with other dogs, loves children and is just well behaved all the way around . Possibly pregnant . Will need proof of ownership to claim. Being heavily sedated has made it impossible to maintain my ability to use my brain in messaging , texting, and if you ask my daughter even phone calls. There has been a lot of hallucinating both visually and verbally. It’s been quite a ride. I wanna thank those who have made it smoother. From bringing me massive amounts of sugar free cherry ludens and , (My cherished cousin Hilda Stout). A huge bag of green grapes(Jerry Crawley, my bestie) great fruit tray including dip. My beloved Pitts and LeeFamily❤️To the love of my life and the one and only that made me a mother ,who consistently shows me in so many ways that she has my back. My Arianna who wears who wears her heart on her sleeve who timed her phone call to me to be at the perfect time prior to surgery. And there is my sister/niece and her daughter Sara who is also my bestie. And Nicole Whittington who has stepped into my shoes with no hesitation and gave me a very happy visit with 2 of my sweet loves seen in the pictures in this post .. And to Pam Cleary who never fails to give 110% and to those whose names and actions slip my cloudy mind I thank you and ask Gods Blessings on you for helping one of his Least of these.

Let me start off my saying that Kristie is alive and doing well. Her surgery was a success and everything went well. Next I would like to apologize for not updating everyone on Kristie’s status sooner. With the storm coming I had to make sure the remaining dogs were secure and had everything they needed to ride out what we thought at the time was going to be a rough storm. I also had some people messaging me about the remaining dogs. On top of securing everyone at the reacue, I had to make sure that my farm animals were safe and secure before the storm hit. I apologize again for not updating everyone sooner, but Kristie is alive and well, and before we all know it-she’ll be up and running again. I would also like to thank everyone for all of the love, support, and prayers during all of this. It really means a lot to us.

UPDATED Tuesday October 1st

We have 4 fur kids left to find places for . Please help us find the wonderful homes they deserve . Share and ask your friends and family to share. We have 2 being transported to Colorado Springs ,Colorado on 10/9/24 . Our sweet Cramer and Captain are going to Wisconsin with our humble Faith, Thanks to Krazy For K9’s Rescue, Inc. who have committed to all 3 of these fur babies. We are ever so thankful for there kindness and the work they do on a daily basis to save the dogs so heartlessly thrown away. They will wind up later going to TN and Bruno is too. Being adopted by a wonderful mom . How’s that for sharing posts for us working in big ways.

Please share this post just as y’all have the previous 2 and please add a note asking all of your friends to share it also. These still here are just as wonderful as those already chosen and in their new homes or a new rescue to help them. They are so deserving, they’ve been through so much only to come out on the other side healed physically and emotionally. The next step is their forever families . Thank you all for your support and help through this trying time and throughout the years the shelter and rescue has served Wayne County and its animal population.

Final Adoption and rescue pull push

We have had so many awesome people trying to help us get the shelter into an empty state for 1st time in over 3 years. We had set a goal of 9/6/24 as the deadline . That would give me 5days before my surgery to relax and release the stress that comes with a rescue and shelter . We still have over 20 dogs here that must be adopted or be pulled by another rescue . If you’ve tried to apply for one or want to come out and meet them please contact us . If you’ve been waiting on us to get back with you we beg your forgiveness. It has been a little hard to keep up with and we would love for you to contact us again just incase you’ve slipped through the many cracks we’ve come across. We definitely aren’t doing a first come first serve adoption. If that were the case we would be empty already. It’s all about what is best for the dog . We may have 3 great adopters interested in a sweet pet from here. They’ve passed 9/10s of what we are looking at to approve them . Then we see that 1 of the 3 have the safest containment for the pet at their home when outside. That could be the tie breaker . So you see each applicant is looked at in several ways to determine the best family for each dog . It’s been very time consuming but we are trying to move as fast as possible and trying not to make a mistake in our rush. Just yesterday I made what will be a 3rd trip to Brookhaven to make a final determination we had placed our sweet Felix in the right family. It’s a go. When I arrived he was asleep in the middle of his mom’s bed. Didn’t even bark when I knocked. He looked great , he went back and forth with me and his new mom but more with her than me. She showed me his new tricks. In less than 2 weeks she had him giving paw consistently, sitting on command , and giving 5. He continued to go to her side and rest his foot on her leg. He had a bed in the corner but chose the bed and that’s okay with his mom , he had a full bowl of food and water by his bed. He found his family in this sweet animal loving young lady . It’s done, his new mom knows she can come to us with any problem that may arise , we have her back and the back of every adopter we have. What ever is in our power to make these adoptions great for all involved , we will do. Please help us find homes for these last babies , and if you are a rescue that has offered to pull one or 2 from our shelter but haven’t yet made arrangements to get them , please contact us so we can go ahead and get them to you. Thank you all for your help and concern , past, present, and future. 🙏❤️. Will be reposting pictures of who is still here waiting either first for our final adoption approval or still waiting for a human to pick them. 🥰. Awesome response

Due to over a dozen fur kids finding homes in the last few days we will be busy with transport and unable to answer inquiries as fast as we would want to . Please bear with us. We are looking at adding an extra administrator to the page to answer inquiries. Some are a waste of time but we don’t know until we’ve already wasted our time.. we hope to get these in there new homes through this weekend and then we will be able to concentrate on the 22 I think we still need to find places for. Here is a rough break down for those wondering. We’ve had 3 rescues pull 4 dogs . Still here with us but committed. And 10 adopted from some awesome animal lovers from the coast to Vicksburg in both AL and MS. Yea Ya’ll ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
