I've got a story for you today.
When I was a kid, my grandmother made Spiced Tomato Jam. I turned my nose up to it, and thought that was the grossest sounding thing in the world. I'm not afraid to admit I have never tried it. Then I grew up and heard that saying about the difference between Knowledge vs. Wisdom. (Knowledge is knowing that tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is knowing not to put it in a fruit salad.) Well my ancestors didn't listen to that, and I'm SO GLAD they didn't. Because adult-me finally tried Spiced Tomato Jam following my grandmother's recipe, and holy moly. HOW!? I have never tasted anything like this, and it's magical. Haha I'm definately trying all of my grandmother's recipes with this stuff (if I don't eat it all with a SPOON before I get the chance) 🤣 If you want to get your MIND BLOWN, come on by the Farm Stand On 40th Street in BV to try some yourself! And if you've tried Spiced Tomato Jam before, PLEASE share your mind-boggling experience with me. It was NOT what I expected it to be. 🤣

The Buena Vista Farmers Market has been CANCELED today due to weather. The Farm Stand on 40th street in BV will remain OPEN if you need to grab eggs, meat, jam, honey, fresh produce, or any of your Farmers Market staples. Also we have a limited amount of homegrown organic oyster mushrooms in the stand. PLEASE BE SAFE and stay weather-aware during the upcoming tropical storm!

I want to take a moment to thank everyone for supporting the Farm stand on 40th in BV. Everything in the Stand is small local businesses, and they do a happy dance every time you choose their handmade goods over big retailers. Putting this avenue together for our community to have easy access to local goods had been such a humbling and wonderful experience. I think I speak for all of our vendors in the stand when I say we look forward to continuing to serve the community. We have big plans on expanding our little roadside store as we grow our regular visitors. Tell everyone you know how your Farm Stand experience has been!
