Bayou Bullies Northern Connection

Bayou Bullies Northern Connection A group dedicated to rescuing dogs in Louisiana and transporting them up north to Vermont. By working together we can save the lives of these precious dogs.

BBNC is the dream of a small group of people who are dedicated to rescuing as many dogs (primarily pit bulls) as possible from the streets and shelters of Louisiana and giving them a second chance at life by transporting them up north to find loving, dedicated forever homes. We use Peterson Express Transport (http://www.petsllc.net/index.php )to transport the dogs to new homes all along the east c

oast. We currently have 15 dogs that are living in foster care in Louisiana and need homes. We also have one foster home in Vermont where we have successfully adopted out 4 dogs. We are always looking for anyone who would be interested in helping these dogs by fostering them temporarily in their home. Please feel free to message us directly regarding any dogs you see posted and don't hesitate to share this page and re-post any pictures of dogs with friends and family. When you share a post you never know who may see it, God may be using you to help a dog along it's journey to it's new forever home. Thank you for caring.

Dear Residents,

A dog was found on September 12, 2018 in the woods behind 1820 Shelburne Road. The dog appears to be an intact (not neutered) male pitbull mix. If you are the owner of the dog or might know any information about this dog please contact the South Burlington Animal Control at 802-846-4210.

What a heart breaking situation. A States Trooper was called to a trailer park to respond to a situation involving a stray dog. People were claiming that the dog was growling and chasing people...so the States Trooper decided to shoot the dog. The life of this dog was only worth a few phone calls to attempt to locate an owner and when wasn't found the state trooper just decided to shoot him. What ever happened to getting a catch pole and getting him to a shelter??? ANY DOG THAT'S IN A SCARY SITUATION IS GOING TO GROWL!!! If he wanted to bite someone then he would have but HE DIDNT. INSTEAD HE GOT HIMSELF INTO A PLACE WERE HE FELT RELATIVELY SAFE AND SAT THERE, YES HE DID GROWL BC HE WAS TRYING TO COMMUNICATE THAT HE WAS SCARED! Unfortunately the human who could have helped him decided to take his life. It's just so so sad :'(

A New York State Police trooper fatally shot a dog in the backyard of a home in Plattsburgh.
