Say hello to Bird! 🦅 Bird had his 2nd trial day today, and I was SO thrilled to see such a dramatic difference from his first trial day! Bird first tried out for the pack in December, and really struggled to recall around any distractions. He was so fixated on the other dogs that he had almost no response to his name and I couldn’t let go of his longline. He was intensely pulling on the longline completely locked in on the other dogs with no interest in me!
I knew that Bird was a friendly dog and likes other dogs, but he was so overwhelmed even seeing the other dogs at camp that I couldn’t get his attention at all. Bird ended up going through an ecollar program with me, and with the support and practice from his wonderful parents, he was ROCKIN’ his recall today! Bird immediately recalled out of play, scents, water, and off of the other dogs! I’m so excited to keep teaching this complex guy how to regulate emotionally around other dogs, as he is pretty intense in showing his love, and to work on all of the critical dog camp skills!

Happy Birthday Fletcher!!! 🥳 🎂 🎉 Fletcher turns 12 years old today, and we just had to celebrate this special guy. Fletcher is my most senior member and is one of my original camp dogs! He is always lighting up our days with his infectious smile and eternal puppy-like nature! Fletcher has been such a critical element to growing my pack and I can always rely on him to spread some wisdom to the other dogs! I just know that every new dog since Fletcher (& his late, older brother, Moose 😇) joined us has been influenced in some positive way. We also can’t wait for his new little brother to join us down the road and continue the legacy. We love you Fletchy! Cheers to 12!!! 💕
