Guiness' Send-off!
We had to give Guiness a special send-off after staying with us at our Grand Rapids location for close to 3 weeks! He gave his owners quite a scare after accidentally ingesting rodenticide. It was a long road to recovery, but with a lot of love and care from our team and unending support from his people, he finally was well enough to get back home where he belongs! While here, this adorable tripod stole the hearts of several staff members. There may have been a tear or two shed as he left but all happy tears! See an update in the comments of how Guiness is doing now! #vetmed #fortheloveofdogs #emergencyvet #healing
Do you ever wonder what goes on when your pet is here with us?
Last week our team of Doctors, LVTs, and highly experienced staff participated in furthering their CPR training. Everyone who participated in RECOVER was certified and gained valuable knowledge in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS).
βRECOVER CPR is the only official veterinary CPR certification recognized by the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care (ACVECC) and the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society (VECCS), and is a non-profit program. Our practice removes the stress and doubts of CPR by making it systematic and organized, leading to better team satisfaction. Furthermore, the methods are supported by evidence reviewed by over 100 experts in the field then are boiled down to key points to use and apply practically.β Www.recoverinitiative.org
With this certification our team members are now better equipped to handle emergencies that may result in the use of CPR and improve the outcomes in saving patients' lives.
