Hedemora Hatching eggs
$80 for a dozen
Laid 3/24-3/27 so they are still fresh and perfect for incubating.

Rare Sweden landrace breed. Cold hardy, smaller chickens but not bantam size. Lay cream colored eggs. Often black skin, smaller combs and waddles to avoid frost bite and can have fur like feathers like silkies.

Pictures are actual stock that laid the eggs so chicks will vary in colors. Lavender, blue, black and gold.

So many worry about the winter months with chickens.

They are not like humans. They don’t need heat lamps. The basic essentials food, clean water, and shelter. Shelter from the elements. Keep them dry.

Notice how this coop is almost half exposed to free flowing air…

They are able to roost and stay dry. Their feathers have naturally conditioned to the cold. Heavy feather down will keep these little furnaces warm.

Stop worrying about them, enjoy them!

Sometime you have to work harder than necessary to find easier alternatives 🤣

Added a float to our brooder! 5 gal bucket so this should save on constant refills of the water for these chickies.

Now to add a couple more for the other tiers of the brooder.

Next chick season should be a breeze!
