Penny is 12\13... we aren't exactly sure. I have loved her since the moment I saw her petfinder pictures, and found her on Deaf Dogs Rock. She was my best friend the first time I looked into her beautiful brown eyes.

She had a horrible start in life but has been loved and spoiled every day since we brought her home almost 11 years ago.

Her health is not good. Her vet has given her medicine for her heart. It is helping and she's feeling better, but we know our time is short. It breaks my heart to think of saying goodbye.

I love her so much.

Penny's pain meds taste awful and after last night's failure to hide the taste in cheese she won't take a treat unless Jeff gives it to her.

Penny's surgery went well and I can bring her home after her morning checkup.

Penny had her surgery this morning. She did fine but is staying overnight on IV pain meds. I miss tucking my woofer in bed with her snoopy blanket tonight. She comes home tomorrow morning and we will have to wait to see what the biopsy results are. Paws crossed for good news.

Penny has been sick and on a restricted bland diet, so naturally she's been trying to find her own treats. She's pretty good at opening doors and cabinets so we've been diligent about securing food. Unfortunately I did not consider that Bogey's bowl of blueberries, dried cranberries and diced apple banana as a potential target. I should have because Penny licked the bowl clean.

Unfortunately Bogey saw this and in our house 2022 begins with a declaration of war.
