It's World Soil Day! Our farmers depend on healthy soils to grow their crops. Check out the list Cary It Green has compiled of ways to help build healthy soils in our community (including composting through the Town's Food Waste Recycling Drop-off).
It's World Soil Day! Healthy food is dependent upon healthy soils, read more to learn how you can help support both in Cary.
🌿 🌿 Take your kitchen scraps to the Food Waste Recycling Drop-off to be converted into compost, some of which will be incorporated into the earth at Good Hope Farm.
🌿 🌿 Make your own compost through our Backyard Bin Sale, or pick up free finished compost from one of our workshops, to use in your gardens at home.
🌿 🌿 No room for a garden, no problem! Cary offers affordable community garden programs that include plots of amended soils that are ready to plant.
