Good afternoon! Spring is here and summer is on the way. Many pet families are getting ready to spruce up their landscaping and decks and porches with pretty plants and flowers. Many plants and flowers are toxic to our pets. The ASPCA website has a comprehensive list of toxic plants and flowers. Check it out and be safe!

It's that time of year again! RABIES CLINICS! If you have any questions call the clinic. If you are coming to the rabies clinics please have your dog on a leash and your cat in a carrier. Leave your pets in your vehicle, come up to the table and do your paperwork and we will proceed from there. Thank you! 🐾Woof & Meow🐾

REMEMBER! Easter Lilies are deadly to cats. If you have pets and ESPECIALLY cats do not have Easter Lillies anywhere on your property.

Hello Fur Families! We are having some tree work done today and the tree people will be here at 11 instead of noon so looks like we will be closing an hour earlier this morning. If you need supplies just plan on picking up before 11 a.m. and of course if you need an appointment with Doc just give us a ring! Have a great weekend! Woof and Meow!

Hi! It's Katy! I changed our hours a teeny weeny bit and apparently it showed that we are closing temporarily. We are not closing temporarily or otherwise. Our new hours will show we will be open Tuesdays from 8 a.m. until noon from November through February and our normal hours the other days of the week. Have a great weekend everyone! Woof and Meow!

In today's (Tuesday, 7/13) Sentinel, our At Your Service column features Commander Emily J. Sprague, who on June 18, 2021, assumed responsibility of Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Unit Memphis as Officer in Charge. The Branch Health Clinic, located onboard Naval Support Activity Mid-South, Millington, Tennessee, provides healthcare services to Active Duty military members, retired veterans and their families.

Emily is a 1997 graduate of Salem Community High School where she was active in cheerleading and Future Business Leaders of America. She graduated from Kaskaskia College in 1999 with an Associate of Science degree and went on to complete her undergraduate studies at Illinois State University. In 2004, she graduated from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee, earning her Doctor of Optometry degree. At that time, she was commissioned into the US Navy’s Medical Service Corps. Commander Sprague has served at various locations over her 20-year career, including: Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, California; Naval Health Clinic Hawaii; Baltimore Veterans Affairs, Optometry Residency; Naval Hospital Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, South Carolina; and Fort Belvoir Community Hospital, Virginia.

Emily is the daughter of Dr. A.J. Sprague, DVM, and the late Pamela Sprague.

We recommend spay and neuter at 4-6 months of age. We advise spaying females before their 1st heat cycle. There are programs to help with the cost of surgery just call us for information.
