Well, after months of soul searching, I have accepted a coaching position on the varsity football staff of the Campo Verde Coyotes. I have not even met all of the kids yet, but the young men I have met are amazing! I will be coaching the offensive line…and chasing another one of these in 5A for sure!!! Have fun, and love one another, and winning happens as a byproduct…ONE SCHOOL!

With everybody giving their two cents on the ball python market, and it’s future, I wanted to post my thoughts on the market here on my breeder page. First, I have always participated in the hobby because I enjoyed the animals. The ball python is my favorite species of snake. There is a reason they are extremely popular. Second, I have never considered this a business, or a money making venture. I consider the animals and their wellbeing, for this reason I am not pairing animals this year. Finding good homes for my surplus animals is getting more difficult. You see, this market is just like any other, it is controlled by supply and demand. Right now supply is very high. I don’t believe demand is any lower, I think supply is just that much more. So, for my part, I will not be pairing animals this year, and I will concentrate on tightening up the collection, and my breeding plans going forward. I have several projects and animals that I am very excited about, and will have an excellent plan going forward. I am beginning my 11th year in the hobby.

Here is a nice comparison! These two snakes share the exact same genes. Hypo, pastel, chocolate, and Mojave. The difference is the second snake is homozygous in three of the four genes, and the first is homozygous hypo only….

Well, I’ve done it now! I uploaded a video to my YouTube channel! I’m a dork! I was nervous for my first video. Not bad, but I have a lot to learn, and I think I’ll need some better video equipment! Lighting and sound improvements for sure! It was a lot of aggravation, but a lot of fun as well. It’s an amazing clutch!!! I’ll post photos as well

In my previous post I promised an update on this clutch. I like getting them shed out and fed a few times before I really show them off. These two are feeding and growing well!!! They are amazing looking animals, and I catch myself staring at them a lot. They haven’t said anything, but I think it’s getting a little weird…😜

The one on the left is triple homozygous and the right is double homozygous…just amazing!!!

I have two new clutches that just shed out! Some very pretty snakes! I believe I hit the HRA Enchi Fire! And some gorgeous blackhead Calicos!!! Clutch #3 should start pipping by early next week, and clutch #4 is more than half way through incubation! Hypo super chocolate, please!

I have 2.2 Phantom het clown…and a 0.1 het clown looking to travel…Phantom is a unique gene in the BEL complex, as the Super is NOT a white snake!

Clutch #4 on the ground from one of my personal favorites! Female pastel chocolate het hypo to my hypo chocolate pastave. 6 good eggs and 1 slug. My third slug….ever.

This morning I found the third clutch of the year. Another special clutch for me. My very first female, a pastel lesser produced by iBall Pythons…if you know, you know…Nine beautiful, healthy eggs. She was paired to an OD YB Pin. She produces beautiful babies, and any holdbacks will be used to make hets for my recessive projects. Every lesser in my collection has come from her, or her offspring. She was a pretty baby.
