Do you love spending time with dogs? 🐕‍🦺 Want to make a difference in the lives of our furry friends? 🐶 We’re looking for dedicated volunteers to help walk our amazing dogs and give them the exercise and socialization they deserve! ❤️

We offer flexible shifts, so no matter your schedule, there’s a time that works for you! Whether you’re an early bird or prefer evening strolls, we’d love to have you on board. 🌟

This talkative tortie known as Miss Kitty AKA “Mamma” is one of our new guests at the shelter. She’s a sassy queen who knows what she wants👑 She loves pets, but will definitely tell you how to do it first🙃 She has been receptive and definitely not as talkative to the small children that gave her loves. She will be ready for her new home soon. Be sure to get your application filled out🙂

Update: An incredibly generous family has reached out to donate funds to cover the cost of a new washing machine! 😭🥰 THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

We continue to be astounded by the support our community gives us. This is a huge request and within an hour, our need was met. ❤️🐾

🚨 We need your help! 🚨

Today, our shelter's washing machine gave out. 😔 With so many furry friends to care for, we rely on it daily to keep bedding, towels, and supplies clean and comfy for our animals.

Right now, we have a volunteer handling the laundry off-site, but having a working machine here would make things so much easier for everyone—and especially for our animals! 🐾💙

If you or someone you know is upgrading their washing machine or has an extra one sitting around, please consider donating it to our shelter. Your generosity would make a huge difference!

We have gotten an influx of kittens in, and while we are stocked up on dry food, our little ones need some canned food. Any type of kitten or cat food will work as long as it’s canned. I wanted to hop on real quick and thank Hali, our Board of Directors, and our supporters.

To Hali - Thank you for your strong leadership and exceptional knowledge. You are already such an incredible asset to our organization and we are so fortunate to have you leading the team.

To our board (past and present) - thank you for spending the last 18 months getting the shelter running. The hours you all have invested truly cannot be calculated. This has been a large undertaking for our community and could not have been done without you.

I also want to thank all of them (Hali and Board) for giving up 3 hours on a Friday night (on a holiday weekend, no less) to participate our annual meeting. Many would not willingly spend their evening doing a SWOT analysis (even though I love them 😉), planning our fundraisers, brainstorming community outreach, and more. Almost Home Animal Rescue is so fortunate to have a group of dedicated, skilled, and community-focused people leading the organization.

Finally, I want to thank our community for supporting us in every way possible. We truly could not have done this without all of you. 🐾❤️

Here are a few things the shelter still need. We need 3 of the broom sets(one for each cat room and one for the front office. This will help stop the spread of illness) we need one of the mop sets with the additional heads(that way we can change from room to room) one garbage can for the kennel. We had a tremendous turnout for our Open House today! 🥰 We loved showing off the building and meeting so many wonderful people.

This is a dream our board has wanted for 18 months. We spent hours and hours (and some more hours) getting everything fixed up, policies in place, and more. Because of our community and because of YOU, this dream is now a reality.

Does anyone have these containers with lids? We are looking for 2. We will use those as a more cost effective alternative to covered litter boxes. The size we are looking for is 50 gal, with lids! Color doesn't matter😊
