Illusionist “Lu” is a confident filly with a very sensible character. She is an athletic and versatile type, with elegant and correct movement. She is easy to handle and is very laid back and confident in new situations. She has worn tack and has been lightly started this fall. Lu lunges, trailers, clips, crossties, stands well for farrier, and has been blanketed. Based on her versatile breeding and athletic abilities, I expect this filly to be able to excel in a variety of disciplines.
Her sire, Innverness, bred by Hilltop Farm, is a powerful stallion with an outstanding character. He has shown as much talent over fences as he has for Dressage. His first son, Irie has received his provisional breeding license with Oldenburg NA/ISR at 3 years old and has already begun showing lots of talent as an event horse in the beginning of his career. Three of his offspring have competed and placed at the Future Event Horse Futurity. At his stallion testing, Innverness was awarded 9’s for temperament and character, an 8 for willingness to work, and 8.5 for his jumping style and technique. He also was the winner of the Stallions 4 years old and older class at Dressage at Devon in 2011.
The sire of Innverness, Inkeeper (Secretariat/Mr. Prospector/Northern Dancer) after retiring from a successful career as a race horse, stood at Hilltop farm and became known for producing horses with great temperaments who competed successfully in hunters, jumpers, Dressage, and eventing. Inkeepers pedigree shows many of the most sought after thoroughbred sires for sporthorse breeding.
Innverness’s dam, Parlez was The 1997 East Coast Champion for ISR/Oldenburg, and was also the Champion of her Mare Performance Test. She competed in dressage, show jumping, and eventing during her sport career.
Illusionist’s dam, Lantina (Solos Landtinus/Rambo/Viros) is an exceptionally beautiful mare with incredible type and temperament. Under saddle, Lantina shows lots of talent for collection, great trainability, as well as good technique over fences. She also has a pedigree that includes many horses that have produced great Dressage and Jumping competitors.
Her sire, Solos Landtinus was imported to Denmark from Germany as a three year old in 1998. Already licensed in Germany as an Oldenburg, he was presented at the Danish Warmblood Stallion license at Herning and was selected as the first place stallion. He scored highest in dressage and third in showjumping.
He was also the champion of his 100 day test. Landtinus was honored as Danish Stallion of the Year in 2005.
Her dam sire, Elite Danish Stallion Rambo was licensed in 1989 and received the silver medal at the 1990 Danish Stallion Licensing in Herning. In 1991 and 1992 he won the Danish Young Horse Dressage Championship as a 5- and 6-year old. He was short listed for Danish team for the 1998 World Equestrian Games in Rome and the 2000 Olympics in Sydney. As a breeding stallion, he produced many Grand Prix competitors, as well as premium mares and licensed stallions.
