Running W Kennel will not be grooming January 16th through January 29th. During this time our boarding hours will be 7-11am and 4-6pm. Beginning the week of the 29th our boarding hours will be 7-11am and 3-6pm and this will remain throughout the winter.
We want to remind you that for your dog to enter our building they will need to be up to date on the following- Bordetella, distemper, rabies and canine influenza. We realize that the canine influenza vaccine may be hard to get right now and will honor existing appointments. However, your dog will need it by their next appointment.

This is what Dr. Scott from Rock Hall Vet recommends.

We want to clarify that if you already have a grooming appointment booked, you may come without the Canine Influenza vaccine. However, you will be required to have that vaccination along with Bordetella, distemper and rabies by your next visit or as soon as possible. Right now is our busy season and we are trying to get dogs in and out as soon as possible and we are having less dogs in the room at one time.

Regarding boarding with us, again if you have already booked a stay with us and your dog does not have the canine influenza vaccine, you can still come. However, by your next visit your dog will be required to be up to date on all vaccinations.

All that being said if you are not comfortable bringing your dog feel free to cancel or contact us or your vet with any further questions.

We are aware that many of our clients have already gotten the canine influenza because we have had it posted in the office since February. Now that most places are requiring it get it ASAP!

After speaking with all the vets in Kent County about the respiratory virus going around, we require that every dog to enter our building be up to date on all vaccinations including K-9 Flu!!

Happy Birthday to Joey, Luna, Pumpkin, Ellie, Tanner and all the rest of Faith's first family. This time last year Casey, Barbara Joyce and I spent the morning delivering pups. It's wonderful when they stay close and we can watch them grow. Thanks to all the families for giving them awesome homes

Apple Hill Finn says" I'm very thankful for today. Bert and Jim said I could go home today. I have been a perfect gentleman during my exile across the lane. I waited semi patiently if not always quietly. Today was the day and I'm ready to get back to work with my mama cows."

A very happy birthday to the Walruses Monk and Finn They were big boys and still are. They have grown into amazing boys. So happy they stayed close so I can watch them grow. Monk's dad keeps me updated!!!!

"Meet Daisy! Daisy is 17 years old and was surrendered as a euthanasia request however that was DENIED and she has proven to still have some good life left in her. She is vetted and heartworm negative. She is trained to use potty pads. Daisy loves to go outside however only under close supervision due to her size and the fact that she is deaf. Daisy would do best in a home without small children however she is dog and cat friendly."

Senior dogs often spend far too long in shelters and at rescues because people opt for the younger dogs or the puppies. While it's understandable why people want younger dogs, the rescue is hoping that a family will step up and see the beauty of adopting a senior pooch like Daisy.
