First grooming competition of the year, , in the books! I got some great feedback on my Clumber trim (and Wiggum got to wag his tail at strangers for hours) and made it through poodle with Pip. Thank you to everyone who helped me this weekend by lending me things (including dogs!), helping me prep, transporting dogs, getting food/water for me, and overall being supportive and uplifting. Of course, thank you to the judges for their hard work, for the reels/polaroids, and Groom Factory for a great show!

First dog of 2024 is off to the dog show 👏
Last year I started my first real breed trims on show dogs, which is something I never trusted myself to do until recently. I started reading breed standards more and applying them to the dogs in front of me- and it landed me 3rd place at All American. In less than a year I went from bathing Watson (no trimming) to doing his show trims with input from his breeder and handler.
I’m very proud of myself and thankful for the opportunities I was given in 2023. Here’s to hoping 2024 is just as good!

•Due to opening earlier than anticipated in December, we had some January spots open up! If you looked for an appointment a few weeks back and there was nothing available- check again! ❄️
•As we are one-on-one and prioritize giving each dog undivided attention, we do not accept walk in nail trims. BUT you can now book your dogs’ nail trims online! 🎉
•Nick is in the process of creating a pricing reference sheet by dogs’ size, desired haircut length, etc. A reminder that all pricing listed on our booking site is a starting price and dogs who receive longer haircuts (1”+), heavy deshedding, or dogs who are receiving haircuts that require more thorough prep and sc******ng will differ from the base price. At Good Boys we are pricing by the hour/active hands-on time, if you have any questions on what your pricing may look like please reach out via email ([email protected]) for more information! 🐶

When your neighbors own a grooming salon and their dog gets you muddy on the regular- you come in for a bath on the house! The beautiful Fiona is Zeke’s BFF (don’t tell him- but I don’t think it’s fully mutual 😂) and he loves to get her DIRTY 🫣 Arthur helped me get her all cleaned up for the holidays!
