Tick-borne diseases are scary, but what is even scarier is how many pet parents have been told these flea/tick chemicals are completely safe. Adverse reports from these products (Trifexis, NexGard, Bravecto, Credelio, Simparica Trio) are especially alarming since it's estimated only 1% of adverse reactions are reported.
The first step is to understand your pets risk.
- What does a tick bite look like?
- Which tick species are important to know?
- What diseases can ticks transmit to dogs and cats?
From there, it is important to find safer alternatives that prevent tick-borne diseases! There are many options to choose from.
