Our mission is to match the right loving home with the perfect loving companion. Journey Canine Rescue was born out of Lab Rescue of North Carolina in 2022. Lab Rescue of North Carolina was a breed specific rescue dedicated to rehoming abused, abandoned & unwanted labradors into loving homes. Through our work finding and placing labradors, we found a larger need for rescues that have experience in

medical cases such as heart worm positive dogs. Identifying this need, coupled with the veterinarian experience of our board members & volunteers, Journey Canine Rescue was born. Every dog in our rescue is getting a second chance for a happy life.
