One of the hardest decisions that we had to come to terms with was letting go of Pixieâs girls, but thankfully their families are so wonderful that we feel that it was meant to be. âšThis is a glimpse of what our focus has been this past weekâš
We have continued handling exercises and sound exposure. We have introduced a crate and are where we need to be with potty training introduction. The puppiesâ rapid physical and social growth has also allowed us to establish a daily rhythm that we are now fine tuning. Within this rhythm, puppies are given the opportunity to interact with our adult bulldogs, as we believe that there are important behaviors/dog manners that only they can teach our puppies. Also within this rhythm, we keep checking off activities that we would like our puppies to be exposed to before their Home Day. With that said, it is important to note that even though we take advantage of puppiesâ awake periods for our curriculum, we are also making sure that we provide our precious puppies with the opportunity to self-sooth, and for them to just have downtime on their own or with our family.

Little dude Bubblegumð...ð¹ð This video was taken after Bubblegumâs bath, while he and I sat on the couch after his bath. Although one should expect older bulldogs to need daily wrinkle cleaning and coconut oil dab on their nose; it has been our experience that 2 month old bulldogs donât need much, when it comes to wrinkle and nose care. Our daily hygiene routine with our puppies is using unscented baby wipes to clean their face, bellies and paws. If needed, we also wipe-off their backs and ears. When it comes to actual baths, today was only Bubblegumâs 2nd bath and Sprinklesâ 3rd. P.S. We like them because they provide great sight and sound stimulation. By the time our puppies join their families, they are not bothered by the sensory stimulation that a skateboard provides.
