Unfortunately, in the medical field we don't get to report this type of news often. But after a long battle, lots of doctor visits between Clinton, Cary and Raleigh, a scary bout of sepsis, tests, and chemotherapy, COCO HAS BEATEN CANCER!
She was diagnosed in December with stage 5 aggressive lymphoma and has been through the ringer, but has remained the best patient and more importantly her tail never stopped wagging. She's now in clinical remission and is running/playing like a puppy again.

We are thankful for the Callahan family trusting us to care for Coco through the ups and downs, our medical care partners: NCSU Oncology and BluePearl Oncology and most importantly to the Lord up above for doing what he does best!

At Caring Hands our mission is to always lead with a servants heart in everything we do. We truly care for those at BOTH ends of the leash: People and their Pets!

We are having a generator put in at the office Tuesday, February 13, 2024. OUR ELECTRIC WILL BE OFF AND THIS DOES AFFECT OUR PHONE LINES BUT THE OFFICE WILL BE OPEN NORMAL HOURS. We will be limited to what services we are able to provide during this time. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Thank you for your cooperation

Our office will be CLOSED on Thursday, November 23rd and Friday, November, 24th for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!

We are reaching out to inform you that Caring Hands Animal Hospital will be closed from December 24, 2023 thru January 1, 2024 to allow our staff to relax and recharge for the upcoming year. NO SERVICES WILL BE PROVIDED DURING THIS TIME. This means that we will not be providing boarding, emergency, product/prescription pickup, or day-to-day medical services.
If your pet is on important chronic medications (heart conditions, seizures, insulin, etc.), please request/refill prescriptions the week before we close (December 18-23) December 22nd will be the last day for boarding. Animals must be picked up by December 22nd.
If an emergency arises during our closure, please contact Eastern Carolina Veterinary Referral in Wilmington (910-790-1070), Points East Veterinary Emergency Hospital in Fayetteville (910-864-2844), or NCSU-CVM (919-513-6786) in Raleigh.
We are very thankful for all of our loyal clients and thank you for the past wonderful year.
Have a blessed Christmas and we look forward to seeing you all in the new year.
