All training is done through positive reinforcement and rewards-treats, praise and lots of petting and love. I attend training/behavior seminars and workshops multiple times a year to keep up with all the changes in the canine behavior world. I have been looking into helping disabled individuals train their own service dogs. This is a long process and very time consuming not only for me as a trainer but for the dog owner as well. Only five minutes later, Milton is able to lay quietly on his bed and watch Hannah do her job. *Big sister, Cici, is also a good influence.

Milton is learning about Hannah, our Roomba. At first it was a bit scary but he soon realized it’s ok. I did not push him to get close to it. I allowed him to run and play while it was running. Never force your pup to “meet” anything they fear. Let them do it on their own. Force can cause greater fear.

This is the kind of fun training we do at Loving Leash!!! (While cleaning the facility) 😀 No treats were used either. This is pure fun for Baxter, my 9 month old foster pup.

A little yard work on the new facility since we are waiting on contractor and electrician to finish up a few projects inside.
