Trained Volunteers Needed!!
Summer is in full swing, and we're experiencing a surge of animals at the shelter. Kitten season is also in full effect, but adoptions have been slower than usual.

Cleaning dishes, laundry, etc are nonstop right now and staff are stretched very thin trying to keep up.

We need your help to ensure these animals receive the constant care they deserve. Any day or time you can spare would be much appreciated.

Yoga instructor, Tiffany Herron, is generously donating her time and Chapman’s is donating the space and providing the beer. Don’t miss this fun event and bring a friend 🧘‍♀️

Any volunteers that have been around for awhile will recognize these ladies.

Liz is doing well and currently resides at Miller’s Merry Manor on Wolfe Rd in CC. She would love visitors anytime, so if you have 15 minutes to spare, please drop by. Liz is a longtime, dedicated volunteer of HSWC and has put in countless volunteer hours over the years. Check out her favorite shirt!

Angi is also a longtime HSWC volunteer, former Volunteer Coordinator, foster mom, adopter, and Board member. Over the years, she has given so much of her time and talents for HSWC and it’s animals. Please take a moment to thank her for her dedication.

Happy holiday weekend volunteers! Often volunteers ask if there are any items that they can help supply for the shelter. So we are keeping a current list on the board in back.

The 5K is just around the corner. We always need volunteers to help with the event and to participate.

Please complete the attached form if you want to participate, sign up at the shelter to help with the event and/or share with everyone you know on your page. This is a really fun event to get the community involved with (or without) their pets.

Upcoming Adoption Event at CC Vet's Open House

CC Vet has invited us to join in on the fun and bring adoptable animals and information about the shelter to share with their guests. We would love to be able to take at least 2-3 dogs down for a few hours (weather permitting). Please reply if you are able to help!
