Rest in peace, Royal Pine Buck " Dillon" from Cleveland, Ohio.

"I will remember how smart you are. Able to untie knots and when others raced in the pasture instead of running the whole way around the field, you would cut across the field and take the lead.

Who else could tell me it was going to start pouring rain or storm and come inside from pasture minutes before it hit, letting everyone else know when it was time to come inside to safety and shelter? My weatherman

❗National Pet Illness Outbreak Update❗

Here are 4 things you need to know about the mystery infection plaguing pets across the country:

1️⃣ Key symptom = persistent cough lasting 6-8 weeks.

2️⃣ Puppies, older dogs, and those with pre-existing health conditions are usually always at higher risk of respiratory infections like the mystery virus.

3️⃣ Few fatalities have been reported.

4️⃣ The cause may be a new infectious agent or a heightened version of an existing virus.

As 2023 comes to a close, we reflect on a year full of breakthroughs and transformative forces in the field of veterinary medicine including gene editing, artificial intelligence, stem cell therapy, targeted cancer therapies, ect.

And in 2024, we expect to see an equally active year as veterinary professionals aim to tackle telemedicine policy shifts, the veterinarian mental health crisis, vet shortages, and more.

However, in anticipation of International tomorrow, we would like to take a step back and say a heartfelt to those who continue to push the boundaries of what is possible in caring for our animal companions. You are so appreciated.
