Elon, NC. This cry for help can from a friend who is a trainer! Meessage us for more info….

Alright guys 🥺 please please share.

Comes with free training!

Back again with Carrot, the gentle giant (Great Dane, pit bull). I posted him a few weeks ago, and have had 0 interest. I went to see him yesterday, and my heart just breaks. The situation he is in is not good. And now the owner is openly talking about euthanasia if nobody wants him. He is literally one of the sweetest babies I’ve met. He has lived with kids, small dogs, large dogs, cats and birds. He is house trained, crate trained. He is going to take a lot of love and patience. He has lived a lot of his life being bounced around and now has spent the last year or so basically in a bedroom. If you would like to know more about him and his story I can message you details.

Please help me not only save this boy but give him the life he has been needing for so long.

It feels like just yesterday, back in October 2012, when we were glued to our televisions, watching in disbelief as Superstorm Sandy swept over the East Coast, leaving behind devastation across our home state of New Jersey. As 10-year-olds, we felt powerless—what could we possibly do to help our neighbors, especially those out of reach? But one thing weighed heavily on our minds: what was happening to the displaced and abandoned pets left behind, or to those who couldn’t be fed?

That was how the Do It Duo for Pets, Inc. was born. Over the years, we’ve donated thousands of pounds of pet food and supplies—over 5,000 lbs of dry dog food, 2,200 lbs of dry cat food, hundreds of collars, leashes, beds, and even funded free microchipping and vaccination clinics. We’ve helped during Hurricane Harvey, the tornadoes in Oklahoma, and numerous other disasters. And although weather can make a huge impact, we know that when we work together, we can make an even bigger one.

Now, in the wake of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, we’re reviving our mission. Though Lucy still resides in New Jersey and Alex has since moved to Virginia Beach, her family still lives in North Carolina, putting us even closer to those impacted by these storms. We still believe no pet should be forgotten, and we’re ready to help once again.

We have decided on highlighting three organizations that are making an impact in the areas affected by the hurricanes. Our distance from each other makes it difficult to directly collect donations, but we encourage you to donate to these organizations!

In partnership with Southwest Airlines® and Lucky Dog Animal Rescue, Greater Good Charities is operating an emergency airlift to relocate over 145 shelter pets from the Southeast to the Midwest. This effort will free up shelter space for newly displaced pets affected by Hurricane Helene, giving them a chance to be reunited with their families.

Brother Wolf Animal Rescue | https://www.bwar.org/
Brother Wolf has lost its shelter and transport vans due to Hurricane Helene, leaving their facility in ruins. Despite this devastation, they remain committed to rebuilding in Asheville and continuing their life-saving work. They need support now more than ever to help the animals and people in their community recover from this catastrophic setback.

Haywood Christian Ministry | https://hcmnc.org/helene-flood-2024
HCM is prioritizing food access for communities affected by the floods caused by Hurricane Helene. They are working with local farms and community organizations to ensure food reaches those in need, while also helping farms recover from the disaster. Their long-term focus is on building a resilient and sustainable rural food system.

Big or Small, We Help Them All—whether it’s the animals we support or the communities we serve. No matter where or when disaster strikes, we’re ready to do our part.

Update: after 9 years apart our beloved Duo was reunited at Alex’s wedding this past weekend in Raleigh, NC. Four years have passed since our last post and these young ladies are beginning their journeys into adulthood. Lucy graduated Magna Cum Laude in May from Rochester Institute of Technology with a major in graphic design and a minor in psychology. She is currently looking for career opportunities in the northeast. Alex will graduate in December with a degree in rehabilitation and recreational therapy. She is currently living in Virginia Beach with her husband Ben and beloved black lab Joey. The memories these two girls have shared throughout their lifetime will keep them forever in each others hearts. Although they are not actively working as the Do It Duo, they both continue to follow the mission of helping others and making a positive impact on their communities through charity and donation. Having them next to each other again brought tears to all of our eyes. Forever friends. Forever partners. Forever family. Forever a dynamic duo. Paws up to successful, happy, healthy futures. 💙🤍🐾

In 2012 a hurricane ripped through the Jersey Shore causing nearly $70 billion in damage. Alex and Lucy were in 4th grade at the time, witnessing the destruction of the beaches they loved. They saw people become homeless and ultimately pets being surrendered to shelters and foster homes all over the state. They decided to create a small ripple and help just a few people. Within weeks their ripple had turned into a tidal wave of relief to tens of thousands of animals everywhere. These girls have accomplished a life time of work in a few short years. And now, we will step aside and watch them conquer the world. As the graduating class of 2020, things have not been easy for them. But they have bright futures filled with positive uncertainty. Alex will be attending Cape Fear Community College as a soccer player and open major. There is no doubt her chosen path will be filled with success. Lucy will be attending Rochester Institute of Technology as a Grapic Design Major. Her artistic gifts will positively impact future generations. We wish them the very best as they embark on this amazing next journey. “The secret to doing anything is believing that you can do it. Anything that you believe you can do strong enough, you can do. Anything. As long as you believe.” - Bob Ross. Paws up girls! Go and be awesome. 🐾👩🏼‍🎓👩🏻‍🎓

This week Lucy helped out some friends by donating toys, treats, bowls, leashes, collars and various other pet supplies to EASEL Animal Rescue League. Her friends Rachel and Anna collected items as part of their service religion class at Notre Dame HS. As Lucy and Alex continue their college search, they remain dedicated to their mission. Paws up girls! 🐶🐱🐾

Thank you President Trump!

President Donald Trump has signed a bill that makes certain acts of animal cruelty a federal felony, saying it’s important for the nation to combat “heinous and sadistic acts of cruelty.”

Six years ago we donated to a new charity which was being formed in honor of a sweet girl who tragically passed during a school shooting in Newtown. Her memory lives on at the Catherine Violet Hubbard Animal Sanctuary. Today we wanted to wish her a very happy birthday. Catherine, your life was and still is a gift to this world. 🦋
