Hi every one!! I was asked if people and their dogs was going to walk in the Fair Parade August 26th at 10:00 am. We walked once before and it was great to see the support in the crowds. Just wondering what you think?? If we do - the dogs are not allowed on the fairgrounds after the parade. Let me know.

Hi all, thought I would let you know the next Happy Tails Dog Park meeting will be held July 22nd at 10:00 am at the eating area on the fairgrounds. Everyone is welcome to come and give input and have discussions.
On another note: How many of you who use the Dog Park would like to walk in the Fair parade Aug. 26th, advertising the Dog Park??🤨😄

I want to give a big Thank You to the Dog Park comittee and the boy scouts for helping out on our Work Day on the 20th of May. Helen, Linda, Judy, John, Eve, George, Jade, Theron and Fritz along with the Boy Scouts who are working on Eagle scout Badge. You guys rock!! Jody

Reminder for all: May 20th is our yearly WORK DAY!! We will be transplanting a few trees and planting bushes and flowers, bark spreading and gravel spreading on the pathway. Starts at 10:00 - bring your rakes, shovels and wheelbarrows. The more, the better.🤩😏🥳

😝The City has called us about finding dog p**p on the ball field next to the Happy Tails Off-Leash Dog Park!! Dogs are not allowed to use the ball field and definitely you have to pick up p**p your dog puts there. Please use the Dog Park and still clean up after your dog.

Our Dog Park meeting will be on March 18th at the Wilson Pavilion (green building) next to RV park. We'll start at 10:00, all are welcome to attend.

I would like to have an unofficial survey on how many of you use the Dog Park and how often you use it. It might help the city/County get water to the park!!
1. 0 - 3 times a week
2. 3 - 6 times a week
3. 6 - 9 times a week
4. 9 - 14 times a week

Hi all!! I thought I would pass this information along to you all. Jerry, a long time dog park user, said there was a pile of wet food in a pile at the dog park. He didn't want the other dogs to eat it - as food is not allowed in the park. Being the nice guy that he is - he cleaned it up. We aren't sure where it came from, and he didn't think it was barf, but food set out. He's concerned that maybe a homeless person did it?? I'm not sure. Just be on the lookout and don't let your dogs eat anything that is in the park. I did put up flyers about the DOG DAZE on Sunday afternoon. Jody

We had a good meeting last Saturday's meeting. Four new people came - welcome George, Ellen, Eve, and Jade. We discussed the spring and what we want to do this year. Put down new gravel, new bark, move some plants, add another bench for the small dog park, maybe add another agility piece to the big dog park, a lot of discussion about our water situation, and our meeting times. Our next meeting will be at the Ag-Trade Center on February 18th at 10:00 am. March meeting will be held at a different location.

Hey everyone, are we enjoying the snow yet?? If you want to volunteer for the Dog Park?! we need people to step up and remove snow from the gates at the big dog park and the small dog park. BE safe but the offer would be greatly appreciated by all of the users of the park. A lot of us who use the park are elderly and would appreciate an easier walkway into the park and even around the inside. Think about volunteering your muscles and remove snow. I am hoping to encourage snow plows to clean out the parking lot so we can have a shorter walk to the park.

Please...we need YOU ...to be a part of the Happy Tails Dog Park committee. It's not hard- we meet every other month just for maintenance business & ideas for improvement. There are 4 of us currently and we are changing date/times of meetings to see if we can attract more participants. Can YOU fit Sat. Jan. 21st 10:00 @ the fairgrounds event center into your schedule?

Hi all, sent a request to the City of Colville's Mayor to talk with us about a source of water for the Dog Park. Explained to him that a lot of people/dogs use the park and would enjoy fresh water on the grounds - we would pay for installing and pay monthly. He stated that he looked over the situation and decided that it would be too costly for us - so he said no go for water to our park:)

Here is the report from the last meeting - June 16th.
*we decided to check on 2 more benches - one for the lg dog park and one for the sm dog park
*we all agreed that the NO EATING in the dog park needs to be enforced - too much of a safety hazard. So signs will be put up shortly.
*Lori stated absolutely no other entry from the Truck Route - too easy for vandalism and not able to monitor.
*one of our group is busy with w**d control, Lori states that anyone can pull w**ds, just leave the dead w**ds outside of parking fence
*Linda is busy cleaning up the bushes and trees and w**ding.
*I've put a "hit" out on the cute White flowered w**ds that have the seeds on the stems. Bad for our park - need to pull them up and get rid of them
*Water is not settled yet. We discussed going to Colville City Council and ask them to help our problem of not having water available. Linda and I could do that.
*WORK DAY - WORK DAY-WORK DAY- on JULY 9th from 9:00 am until 11:00 am - need bodies to w**d, plant bushes and flowers

IS THERE ANYONE OUT THERE THAT COULD SNOW BLOW A PATHWAY AROUND THE BIG DOG PARK AND ENTRYWAY?? ALSO, A PATHWAY FROM THE SMALL DOG ENTRYWAY TO THE BENCH. HUSBAND HAD HIS 80TH BIRTHDAY AND IS THRU WITH SNOW SHOVELING.😏😉😒 THANKS Jody Hoffman
