The Comanche Animal Shelter is hosting a Pet Adoption event, including Comanche All Pets Alive (CAPA), Paws out of Stephenville, Deleon Animal Shelter, and Rest Stop Rescue. The event will be held at the Comanche Community Center located at 100 Indian Creek in Comanche, Texas, on Saturday, June 1st, 2024, from 10:00 am -3:00 pm. This event will have a balloon artist there for entertainment, and a food truck by Vinny's Kettle Corn and Roasted Corn, and also drinks will be served by Lemon Love Lemonade.

These two dogs were found running loose today inside the city limits of Comanche. The white dog was found on FM 3381, and the brown dog was found near the Comanche County Vet Clinic. If anyone knows where these two dogs belong you can contact the Comanche Police Department at (325) 356-3074.

The dog in the attached photo was found this afternoon on W. Duncan. He is wearing a rabies tag but as of this writing attempts to locate his owner have been unsuccessful. If this is your dog please contact the Police Department at 325.356.3074 during business hours. Thank you.

This Saturday is going to be epic! We will have dogs from Comanche, Hamilton, and Erath counties. City of Comanche Animal Shelter and City of De Leon Animal Shelter will have dogs and puppies from the shelter. Pets Are Worth Saving - PAWS will have dogs from the Dublin City Shelter. Plus a couple dogs from the Hamilton Shelter and CAPA - Comanche All Pets Alive. There will also be delicious food from JD's Chow Line and drinks from Lemon Love Lemonade Truck! Don’t miss out on the fun and the chance to meet your new best friend

UPDATE: This event is postponed for a future date due to unforeseen reasons.

The Comanche Animal Shelter is hosting an adoption event at the Comanche Community Center located at 100 Indian Creek Drive in Comanche, Texas. This event will be held on April 20th, 2024 from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Other organizations such as the Deleon Animal Shelter, Comanche All Pets Alive, Rest Stop Rescue, and Paws of Stephenville will also be participating in this event. The Comanche County Vet Clinic is offering discount vouchers for vaccines and spaying/neutering for pets adopted during this event. JD's Chow Line food truck will also be joining us along with the Lemon Love Lemonade Truck.

The Comanche Animal Control is looking for the owner of this horse. The horse is currently running loose on Anderson Street in the city of Comanche. If anyone knows where the horse belongs or knows who the owner is please contact the police department at (325) 356-3074.

Ok comanche city we have the new city tags in 2024-2025 yours has expired so come on down to the police department or the animal shelter and get your new city tags it is a city requirement that every dog or cat living in the city limits of comanche have one we take personal checks, money orders and cashiers checks thank you!!!
