Just under 2 weeks until the Northwestern Michigan Fair Draft Horse Show. We are still accepting sponsors, your name will be read during the show and your name will be on a banner hanging in the draft horse barn all week. Come on out to the fair enjoy the draft horse show on Sunday the first day, and see the happenings that will be going on in the draft horse barn the rest of the week. The museum will be open also in the draft horse barn with some unique items to see. Looks like the draft horse barn will be full of draft horses this year as well!!

Went down to Greenville for the Take It Easy Driving Show, Irish Thunder Celtic Hallie was 1st place Draft Halter and Reserve Champion overall, 1st place Draft open Cart. 4th place obstacle course.

Had the pleasure to be an instructor at the 4-H Exploration Days at the MSU Pavilion. Diamond and I doing a driving demo. Students got to ground drive, braid mane and tails. Learn about harness parts, how to measure for a harness. What the judge looks for in a draft horse. How to show a draft horse in halter. A great day of learning and Fun.

The weather report has changed going to be a great day!!

Don't let the weather bother you, we are all watching it. It looks like it will rain in the morning, but by the time we will be driving it won't be. We start off with introductions, safety, different harness and how to fit, bits and bitting, line driving both single and teams, hitching to implements and vehicles, driving single and double hooked to carts and wagons. We will probably break for lunch before we get hooked to vehicles. Again this is very hands on! Hope to see you Saturday in Hart!
