It has been very difficult to sit and project what's been happening within "dogdom" (new word) recently. But it has to be told that our dear friend and family member that you see and hear about....has been diagnosed with having osteocarcoma of the left foreleg. This magnificent Grey', that has only been part of my life for less than 3 years, has come done with this disease due to his extremely successful life as a "winner on the track". And this is the primary reason for you as dog lovers, to help us in trying to create legislation to close the tracks left in the US and the world. Shocking that our state of Florida has 61% of all tracks still operating. Because Pete was a 91% winner, the disease attacked him at the young age of 6 (on my birthday next month). Reason being that when a Grey' wins...they push for more winning. Thus his life is doomed for accidents and more wear and tear. I'm closing because it's enough.
