We altered a form to give this deer a different look. Started with a wall pedestal but changed out the head and altered its position some. Gives it a slightly aggressive look that shows this big Breckinridge county deer off nicely.

With Kentuckys bow season opening over the weekend thought I share pictures of a pretty early season deer that we finished up earlier in the year.

Thought I’d jump on here and let those interested know where I’m at. I’m getting close to finishing up the 2021 deer and big game. The ones left are mostly wall pedestal deer and a couple big game jobs that I’ve had trouble getting everything I need for. It’s been a productive summer and the supply issues for the most part are better. Seems like eyes and ear liners are the only thing that are causing problems. I tried to limit what I took in in 2022 so hopefully I can get my turnaround times back to what we are more accustomed too. Thank you all for your business and your patience. Season will be here before you know it.

Hope everyone is having a great Turkey season. Thought I’d share some pics of a cool project we had the opportunity to work on last month. A beautiful Alaskan mountain goat.

We don’t have power but we do have coffee. Babysitting the generator and making sure everyone’s capes and skins stay safely frozen as we wait on the linemen to do their thing. Here is a cool little mount that was recently sent home. South Dakota badger. Check out those claws.

Praying everyone has a great new year. Thanks to all my clients present and past for your business. It has been a real blessing to take care of your taxidermy needs. 2022 has had its challenges and I am glad to see it go but despite all the supply issues and other troubles we did manage to make some great memories. January through December. Happy new year from the Moores.

Good luck to everyone headed out this weekend for the gun season opener in Kentucky and Indiana. I think we all know what this earlier than normal season opener coupled with this cold front will do. I’d say record harvests could be set. So be patient with your processors and your taxidermists. We are all going to be overworked this week. Thank you to those who have already brought deer in and good luck to those still in the game. God bless.

Hey it’s Christy, I just wanted to jump on here because we had to redo our Google listing because someone reported us as an “illegitimate business” which as you know we are not 😆 so if you have a minute and want to give us a review on Google we’d appreciate it!! Those reviews prove that we’ve been around & aren’t a fly by night business.

Thank you for your continued business, your patience & good luck out there this season!!

Here is a quick tip for those that hunt from hang on or ladder stands. There is nothing worse than a squeaky stand on a cold, calm morning. I carry a small bottle of vegetable oil with me and if a stand starts making noise I can usually oil the problem area and eliminate the noise.
Things have been pretty busy in the shop with these cool temperatures. There have been a lot of great bucks brought in.
I am pretty well done with 2020 stuff except for a few jobs and am getting started on 2021 turkeys now. I appreciate everyone’s patience as I have been working through the current issues the taxidermy industry has gone through. Good luck to everyone this fall.

This picture doesn’t do this deer justice. The true trophy in this deer is it’s body size. It had an 8 yes 8 3/4 inch eye to nose, which is unheard of and a 28 1/2 inch neck circumference. For comparison a typical mature deer from this area has a 7 1/2 inch eye to nose and a 23-24 inch neck. I ordered the largest form available and had to do quite a bit of altering to make it larger to properly show this guy off. Congratulations Justin Scharrer

I haven’t been on Facebook much but despite numerous supply issues this summer I’ve been working hard to get caught back up. I’ve still got a few jobs held up by a major issue I had with one of my largest material suppliers this summer but for the most part things are running smoothly again. Thank you everyone for your continued patience. Here are a few that have been done recently.

If this “build back better” economy has cash flow a little tight here are some other options to preserve your memory other than a full mount. Shoot straight and God bless.

Thought I’d take a minute to share a few pictures and let my clients know where I’m at. I’ve been getting a few calls and due to some supply issues I am running behind. I won’t bore you with details but everything from tanneries to freeze dry services have been behind by several months this past year. This threw me behind. I have all but 3 turkeys done and am waiting on the foam I use on bases before I can do the last of them. I have started on deer from 2020 and have quite a few of them done. I am having no trouble with getting semi sneaks and semi upright forms. The supplier I use for those has done a great job through all of this(Ben mears). All sneak sweeps, wall pedestals and floor pedestals come from a different supplier and there will be a wait on them. Again another long story but they(revolution) went out of business last year and their line of forms has been picked up by McKenzie and McKenzie is having a hard time keeping up with getting everything going smoothly, with moving and running another large supply company. So in short I just appreciate everyones patience. I am doing all I can to get caught up but the supply issues just keep coming up. I will be so glad when this is completely behind us but until it is ,again, I am thankful for your patience. One last thing unless you change your phone number, there is no need to call me. If you have read this you know what is up and I will get your deer done once I get material. Thanks again and God bless.
