I wanted to give a shout out and Kudos for most of the groomers in our area.

I have had a few people go out of state for months at a time, and what I’m hearing is appalling! They have their dog groomed and it’s at least $100.00, that’s for a shih—tzu size dog! And they say it’s the worse grooming their dog has ever had.

People take pride in your work! Remember you are working on a living creature. You’re there to provide a service not just for the person, but the dog! Ears, nails and a**l glands are important to the well being of the dog you are grooming. 

Scissor finish is part of your job, get that hair out of the dogs mouth. It can be difficult, trust me I know. I was doing it for a dog that hates her face messed with, and she wanted to bite me, but I got it done.

Again, thank you to the awesome groomers that take the time and effort to take care of the dogs they groom.

This Schnauzer belongs to a daughter of a client, who are pet sitting till June. The grooming shop she goes to where she lives, charges her $100.00 a visit. They don’t clip her ears, or clean her ears.. they don’t give her eyebrows. The hair was never clipped around her mouth. The hair was wrapped around her teeth. The a**l glands were so full her poor bottom looked swollen..

Sorry, had to vent... making money is one thing, but neglecting what part of your job is.. that makes me angry. Not from AZ. Will just say that.

Surgery went really well, Love Dr. Liu! Nothing to report, everything was good news.

Waiting to hear from the Dr. for radiation appointment and plan.

Haven’t been able to see my other Dr. In Flagstaff because of snow issues.

I have a client who’s dog is in need of Acupuncture. Does anyone know of any in the Valley? It’s a Dachshund who’s slipped a disc. It’s been on meds for over a week and it’s worse. Thank you for you help!

Good morning! I carry a box for Toys for Tots. My first box was picked up yesterday, and I was told they’re short toys for kids 1 &2 years old. If you can, bring a new unwrapped toy for kids who need it. Thank you! The boxes are being picked up on the 12th. Love you people! Thank you!

‼️‼️Found Dog- Kachina Village/Flagstaff‼️‼️

This little baby found last night stuck in a cattleguard. The finders said there was another dog with this one, all white. This dog had no Halloween costume on when found, finders put on to keep it warm.

We have people out searching for the white one now

I’ve been trying to decide how much information to share here.. but with all the out pouring of prayer, I think everyone has the right to know how prayer was answered..

I go back to work Tuesday! Yay!

My cancer is so small and lazy, she's not worried about me waiting, so I don't miss my busy holiday season. She said if there was a thing as Half stage cancer, that is what she'd qualify me as. I'm going to take estrogen to make sure it doesn't grow. But the overall outlook is great. No chemo when done, just laser point radiation. Surgery is in January.

I’m sitting here crying like a fool.. no, not because of my stage 1 cancer, but because I want to go back to work.

I miss my people and dogs. I miss my shop..

Hello friends and family,

I want to thank everyone for their patience while I am recovering from my finger surgery. Recovery is going slower that I was hoping, but it’s happening.

But there’s more news that I think is necessary to share at this time. Friday evening I was given the call that I have Stage 1 breast cancer(early detection). That being said I don’t know when I will be returning. Yes, I will be returning! ASAP I promise. I am not enjoying not working, those of you that know me.. know that. Lol

God bless you, he has blessed me. Things could be much worse. Hugs to you all and know I love and miss you!

Hello!
How are you guys? I saw my Physical Therapist today for the first time. She told me that I will not be able to return to work the week of the 26th. She said because I work alone and it’s my primary hand finger, that we will play it by ear when I can return to work. Trust me, this isn’t good news to me either.

This will probably be my last post till after my surgery, which is THIS Friday, August 26th.

I want to apologize for my sign. I know it’s hard to read and looks horrible.. but it’s going to cost $700.00 to replace it. My surgery is August 26th and I have my priorities that have to go first. I hope to have it replaced by December. Thank you and have a blessed day.

Hello everyone, for those that don’t know, I saw the hand surgeon last Tuesday. He said my finger got worse from the last X-rays taken, it will be difficult, but he believes he can get a joint replacement in there. Whew!

I got the call from his scheduler this morning, my surgery will be August 26th. I don’t know what time it will be.

We’ll, the rumor wheel goes round and round doesn’t it?!?

Just letting everyone know, I am in the same location. I have not moved nor do I have an intention of moving. I’m 62 will be 63 in August.. I have no desire to move. Lol

Possibly the basis is that Bri moved out of my shop and relocated? I don’t know, she left in February.

My only hiccup right now, is I’m seeing a Dentist because I chipped a tooth. They are cleaning my teeth in 4 quadrants because of my TMJ, so I’m forced to move clients around to accommodate for those appointments.

Also coming up on June 28th is my appointment with the hand surgeon.

Thank you for taking the time to read my posts. It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything, but I felt a couple of things needed to be addressed!

First, please do not spread rumors about our grooming shops in town. We are in desperate need of keeping our shops open and running, there’s such a huge need right now.

A Cut Above Pet Grooming is NOT closing her doors any time soon. I had a text conversation with Jennifer, she had 2 of her groomers start their own shops, but she is not closing. She will be closed Mondays during summer months. Those are her only changes.

Canine Country Club has NOT CHANGED HANDS and they are STILL GROOMING and taking new clients. They are booked 3 weeks in advance.

I just talked to the manager at Canine Country Club. They are still open for business and taking new clients. One Love Pet Spa are taking new clients as well. A Cut Above Pet Grooming are not taking new clients at this time, she’s in search of a groomer. Hope this helps!
