Reflecting on this past year, our team really stepped up on their own time to help animals in need, which is near and dear to our hearts. Many remember Midlands Humane Society and how they brought in two specific hoarding cases with severely neglected dogs (one was also a back yard breeder gone wrong 😞)

Special thank you to Erin, Ellie, and Michelle for diving right in to help. These are really tough grooms and heart breaking, but they raised their hands to help immediately. We really appreciate them!!!

Last, we would be remiss not to thank Darci Elam and then Theresa Monahan-Murphy for thinking of the staff and providing lunch on two separate occasions as a thank you to us for helping out these animals in desperate need. Thank you for thinking of us 🥰.

Let’s hope this is the year for the animals! We encourage adopting from Midlands Humane Society, a local non profit raising funds specifically for displaced animals in need.

In light of the new illness being reported in dogs in the US we are proactively putting in place new protocols effective immediately. We are unaware of any case in our immediate area however we want to protect our clients from any unknowns to the best of our ability.

Each grooming client must be current on their vaccinations. Please call your groomer if your dog is showing any signs of illness before coming to the salon. Upon request we can kennel your dog while not on the grooming table. Prompt pick up is extremely important during this time as we have limited kennel space. We are no longer offering communal dog dishes for those who not wish to have your dog kenneled. If your dog shows symptoms upon arrival we will reschedule the appointment .

Edit to add: We have added additional kennels and we will be sanitizing kennels between clients.

Today the team went up and beyond and I’m so proud of them and happy we all have a heart to help the neglected. This on top of a full grooming day 🤪. Midlands Humane Society had 12 severely neglected dogs surrendered yesterday and they needed immediate care. Hard to believe there were tiny dogs under there! Posting a few separate videos to show the transformation.

Clyde is lookin fresh thanks to Posh Pets Dog and Cat Grooming!

This 4 year old German Shepherd came to MHS as a stray and he definitely needed some TLC! After removing ticks, giving him a bath, and brushing another dogs worth of hair from his coat we determined we needed to call in the professionals! He is looking better than ever after getting pampered at Posh Pets.

He came to MHS with his friend, Bonnie, and they would love to find a home together although not necessary. Clyde is a very even tempered boy who seems to get along with most anyone he meets. He is a typical stubborn shepherd and would love a dedicated owner who can get him motivated to learn new tricks and work on basic obedience.

We groomed Sully for Midlands Humane Society today as he was in desperate need for a good blow out! He was such a good doggie too 🥹. He’s available for adoption 💙
