We are desperately trying to place numerous pets in your area and do not have foster homes for them. Help keep pets out of shelters and with their owners by providing long-term foster care.

The owner pays for all expenses - you only need to provide a safe and loving home for them. We have pets in need in all 50 states and need more of these safe havens!

In Maryland and surrounding areas, please consider being a foster for a homeless dog! Your kindness is needed more now than ever!

Most rescues will cover expenses, so all you would need is some room in your home and some love for the pup! And if you decide that the dog would be a good fit for you for forever, you get first dibs on adopting!

Did you know -- more pets go missing during the 🎆July 4th weekend than any other time of the year❓

Be prepared for the holiday by getting your pet microchipped. Having your pet microchipped and the info up-to-date is the best way to ensure that if your pet goes missing, you are able to be reunited💜

‼️Now through Wednesday, July 3, BCAS is offering FREE microchipping to county residents for their pets!

Appointments are required on Saturday/Sunday. Call 410-887-7297 (option 3) to schedule an appointment. Walk-ins are welcome Monday-Wednesday 9am-4pm.

➡️If you find a stray pet, you can use our community microchip scan stations to see if the pet is microchipped. If so, you can try to reunite them with their families without having to bring them to the overcrowded shelter!
