Ivan!!! He is 60 pounds of goofiness. He wants nothing but attention and love which he has never received in his entire life. This boy deserves a family and companionship in which he will give nothing but love and loyalty and a lot of wet kisses until his very last day! He’s not one to be thrown outside in the backyard or chained up because he loves people. He is fully vetted and ready! He has until next week since I was able to get a few others out. 
Puppies
These puppies Barkley, Bella and Brooklyn are looking for their forever homes. Adoption fee is $45 in which they will be altered at six months of age. They have received their series of puppy vaccines and multiple dewormings.

Bailey - She was a cruelty case that was seized mid February. She is looking for a home/foster/rescue family that can get her out of the shelter and give her the life that she has never had before. She came in with the worst skin infection and inflammation covering her entire body in so much pain and she is learning how to be a dog finally.
She is cat and dog friendly with proper introduction and we have been working on potty training.
She is a very playful one and a half-year-old girl

This girl named Stella is as grateful as they come. She is so forgiving and content and is learning different ways to cope. I can 100% guarantee when she is ready for adoption and gets adopted, she is going to be the most loyal, loving, and compassionate companion anyone could have and I will put money on that! And why in the world would someone shoot her with a BB gun? It is very evident of the BB’s lodged in her skin.

If this is not the sweetest video ever… Look at these two little angels. Penelope is much better today and has finally eaten and this little kitten I found a week and a half ago that was in bad shape in the kennel area of the shelter and she is doing fantastic and has found comfort in Penelope. Two deathly ill babies a week ago and look at them now 🥹

Who remembers the German Shepherd that willingly jumped into the animal control truck at the Texan in Cuero? Here he is full of spunk and oh so stinkin handsome😍
He smiles the best smiles and gives the best hugs. He is just fine with females, of course, but he is male selective but once he is neutered, I believe he will be an all around, fantastic, friendly, loving boy. Adoption fee is only $45 which is nothing compared to a lifetime of companionship, love and loyalty and giving a dog that was once abandoned by his owner a second chance ❤️

These dogs😭 I have been begging for help. We have 20 dogs and 14 kennels. I cannot believe it has come to this but so many dogs here at the animal control facility will lose their lives this Friday on the 31st. We are just a small city holding facility and cannot house dogs like rescues and shelters can. Laci has been here the longest and she will be the first to go, and it really breaks my heart because she is such a loving and deserving girl. Local shelters cannot take any of the large dogs. I really need your help as I am maxed out and overwhelmed and saddened to see so many larger dogs being passed up for puppies. It’s a vicious cycle that will never end.

This young adult male was found wandering on May 7, 2024. His family has yet to come and get him. He is now available for adoption where he will be up-to-date on vaccines and neutered and the adoption fee is only $45. He is every bit of handsome as he is loving and playful. Unsure on cats and he gets along great with the female dogs here
We are sitting with 27 innocent lives in a 14 kennel shelter! We have got to get some dogs moved immediately or we will have to start putting dogs down.
These girls are doing much better. They are flea free, still battling tapeworms but getting better, nails are trimmed so they can walk and eyes are clearing up.
They are both so incredibly sweet and know they are now safe and will never have to live in misery and pain ever again. They still have a long road ahead of them, but they need someone that’ll open their heart and home and foster them. Medical will be paid for all I ask is for someone to love and care for them both.

Laci has spent most of her life locked away in the shelter. This is the only place she’s ever known and I really hate to see her die here because that is so unfair because humans let her down by not taking advantage of the free spay/neuter voucher the City Of Cuero offers to the residences.

Just when you think you’ve seen it all! I feel completely defeated and I’m hoping next week is better. We have no kennels available yet here comes these two sweet girls with severe demodex mange due to fleas, yet again. Something so preventable but the owner chose to do nothing. It’s unfortunate this individual is on a bus, headed out of state and no way to find out where.
If you need help with your pets or need advice, most of Cuero knows how to contact Nicole, one of the Animal Control officers and she has so much knowledge she can provide without judgement! We should not be seeing this in the City Of Cuero and I am absolutely disappointed

Laci ❤️ This beauty is about a year old. For some reason, she has been stuck here in a loud scary place for 124 days. She was unwanted for no reason at all and here she sits, and patiently waits for someone to love her and that gentle touch of a human companion. She would do fantastic in a large yard or on a ranch and I have not found one dog she does not like. She is spayed and up-to-date on vaccines and for only $45 she is ready to roll out of this place to start her new life

Four syringe fed kittens needing someone immediately that can care for them for the next few days while I find permanent placement. We don’t have enough man power to keep them here. Please can someone step up and help?!?
Owner Surrendered
While I was out last week, these girls were surrendered. When I walked in this morning, they were terrified out of their minds. This mother and daughter duo did not do anything to deserve being surrendered to one of the scariest places. They’re both very confused and would love nothing more than to be somewhere they feel safe and loved
Unfortunately, we are a small city shelter and unless we have people that come in to adopt or rescues pull we have to keep space for dogs to come in. We have three dogs right now we have to go pick up and we absolutely have no kennel room, none, and dogs are doubled up in kennels.
Please consider adopting 💔💔💔 These dogs don’t deserve to loose their lives due to human failure! They only want to love and be loved
It’s a $45 adoption fee, and the dog is either spayed/neutered, or comes with a voucher, are up-to-date on their rabies and fully dewormed!
