Good morning all. This is Wes, the page's admin.
This page was started years ago when the park was being planned and continued after it was opened. The purpose of the page was to keep the community updated about the park and so people could engage with other dog owners for meet ups as well as report any issues for the Dog Park Committee to address.
Since then, the Town then County assumed ownership and operation of the Dog Park as it is in a public park. This removed the responsibility of maintenance and safety from the committee. Also, a public community page, Culpeper Dog Park Check In, was created by others to schedule meet ups and post concerns without requiring admin permissions. Because of these factors, page traffic has significantly decreased over the years as well as posts. I also find myself having less time to manage this page to keep it engaging.
With all of that being said, I would like to ask for your opinion.
Should we:
1. Deactivate this page so that we have one centralized community page for the park,
2. Find a new admin to bring life back into this page, or
3. Continue on as is?
