Just wanted to let everyone know I’ll be celebrating Christmas with my family in Hudson on the 24th and have an engagement in Mpls on Saturday the 28th.

I’d be free to petsit in Hudson/Twin Cities area anytime from the eve of the 23rd until the 1st or up north from Christmas Day til the 28th.

Thought I could use a little snuggling today so I visited the Community Cat Rescue and Adoption Center and met so many new friends. They have so many cats and kittens that are looking for their fur-ever home. Perhaps you’d like one or could spread the word?

Thanks to Community Cat Rescue and Adoption Center, Higgins found a home with my parents earlier this year. They love him very much but I know who he really loves! I enjoy every visit I get with him and marvel at how much he’s grown. He’s a very healthy cat now and has very much settled in.

According to Kristen Gregerson, the Buffalo County Humane Association's administrator, the shelter started this week with 25 animals, and now they've added 47 cats to their shelter.

It seems wherever I go, pups gravitate towards me. I’m currently attending the Great Lakes Outdoor Summit 2024 in Duluth where I met Ruby. Her owner is the amazing Quinn Brett.

Quinn has an incredible story to tell, actually many, and one of her incredible accomplishments was being the first person to hand-cycle the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route. Apparently, though, Ruby has heard many of the tales and has become bored with them.

Never fear, Ruby, I’m certain mom will be out tackling new challenges and creating even more stories to tell on my fave podcast, The Dirtbag Diaries. Fitz Cahall, the host of that podcast, is here too.

Puppy Party

This dog… we went to snowshoe Kadunce today but the river wasn’t completely frozen. Not surprising considering our crazy, mild winter thus far. We or I decided to hike it w traction devices. Lutty decided it was a perfect day for a swim. 37-degrees or so and the sun occasionally peeking out. Anyone need a Polar Plunge buddy? I think Lutty’s up for the challenge!
