Be on the lookout if you’re in this area! Heartland Kennels is a wonderful establishment and I bet they feel just awful.

UPDATE: REMMY HAS BEEN CAUGHT!!

We are urgently asking for our neighbors and community’s help in bringing home one of our customers. Through a series of truly unfortunate events, Remmy escaped our facility shortly after she was dropped off for grooming. She was last spotted by Walsh Jesuit. We’ve had many people out searching for her since she escaped but we’ve had no luck. We are offering a significant reward for her safe return.

She escaped from 4487 State Road Cuyahoga Falls. Was last spotted off of Wyoga Lake Road at Walsh Jesuit High School.

We have been in contact with many recovery teams and we are currently working with Amber’s Ark. We have also been in contact with many drone pilots and we have been told that unfortunately, the area that she was last seen is so densely wooded that it would be almost impossible to see her with a drone.

Remmy is a white/cream doodle, she’s a rescue and very nervous around people. We ask if she’s spotted to not chase her, but to call us immediately at 330-928-3705.

Friends….if you see our TV on at the shop throughout the night when you’re driving by, it’s because Harriet (our cat) is terrified of fireworks and we found her shivering in fear behind the washer. We’re trying to see if the tv on will help.

We are currently booking into July! There are limited spots open for the end of June but not many and the times are not flexible. We are encouraging most people to rebook at pick up but if you are not one of those then we recommend getting in for July before that’s gone too.

We have had a recent string of no call no show clients and I would like to remind everyone that we heavily depend on you to show up. We only schedule so many a day and when you don’t show up that puts a big hole in our day and our pocketbook. We depend on this job to feed our families and pay our bills and when we lose out because you didn’t show up it could mean the difference between paying a bill or putting food on the table. Our time is important and we give our all to each and every pet we see but we can’t continue to stay open and provide services if we have people who choose not to give us the proper warnings that they will not be there. As a reminder, you will be charged 50% of your estimated bill for late cancelations or no shows.

As a friendly reminder….don’t forget to put flea and tick medicine on your pets! Including the ones that never go outside, we can bring them in on us and transfer it to them. Short hair or long hair it doesn’t matter, they all need protection.

You may have noticed over the last few weeks that we are not answering the phone as much and that our voicemail says we prefer text messages. While we understand that some may prefer phone calls, it has become rather difficult to answer the phone and also continue our work. Being on the phone requires our undivided attention and takes time away from the pets who deserve our attention most. We also cannot physically talk that much as we may be with our family or in my case, recovering from surgery. I love hearing all about your pets and the funny things they do but unfortunately as more and more people want to share their stories on a phone call I have become bogged down with too much time spent chatting. I have made the decision to answer less calls and would really appreciate a text to schedule your appointment. Maybe someday I will be able to afford a full time receptionist but for now it’s just me and I ask you send me a text. And of course if you want to share a funny story or a cute thing your pet does you can text that too!

If you’re a regular of Leslie’s and would like an appointment, please book soon. I currently have no openings until mid April. You can book with the other groomers in the meantime but they too have limited availability.

Currently we are booked until March 21 and we are quickly filling up for the rest of that week. We strongly suggest that you book your appointments asap to avoid having to wait even longer.
