Gladys is a precious bully mix and she’s waiting for a family to come and fall in love with her! She is good with other dogs, cats, and kids. She knows a couple of basic commands and has started working on her home manners thanks to a previous foster home! She loves people and toys and snacks.

We know we have a community full of little Chi Chi lovers out there! Lightning Bolt Lester is looking for his furever family. He’s a sweet, timid, little fella who warms up pretty quickly as long as you’re kind and gentle with him. He’d be the perfect little lapdog for someone. Please stop by the shelter to meet him!

This precious husky mix came in today and she’s so pretty! We’ll post better photos soon, but we just wanted to share her with you. She’s 1-2 years old, good with other dogs and kids, is house trained and knows basic commands according to her previous owners. She’ll be available for adoption tomorrow so come and meet her!

Titus is an energetic bully mix who would do well with a patient owner willing to teach him boundaries and structure. Hes been at the shelter since May and it’s time for him to find his new family. He would be awesome for an active family. If children are in the home, they need to be older children as he can be quite rambunctious. He likes other dogs and just needs someone who understands that growing up in a shelter means he’ll need time to adjust to a new environment and house rules.

Apollo is almost a year old and he’s been at the shelter since May. He is a 10/10, a certified good boy. He loves to cuddle and nap and is perfectly content to lay near your feet while you work from home or watch tv. He is not doing well in the shelter and we would love to find a family for him. Please stop by to meet him. He would love some company. ❤️

Update: He has been spotted on New Lair between mile marker 4 and connector road. Please call or text (904)574-0117 if you catch a glimpse of him! We are monitoring the area closely. Remember that he is very timid and will run if approached! We recommend attempting to coax him into coming to you. He’s sweet, just scared.

Our new intake bolted out of our facility this morning and squeezed through our fences. Please contact the shelter immediately if you see him! He is very timid so please do not chase him! Please comment on this post, call the shelter, or email us at [email protected] if you spot him! He may be hiding in the brush near the shelter. Again, he is VERY TIMID so please do not chase him!

The most beautiful kitty, Ms. Lenora, is patiently awaiting her furever home after raising 3 beautiful kittens who have already been adopted! Shes sweet as pie!

Sweet Sheena! If you can spare it, consider donating! Shes a shelter alumni and this rescue has saved her life.❤️

Surgery for Sheena was successful!!! But now we have to pay for it. We couldn't turn her down -- sweet and loving and only about a year old. Don't you just want to hug her?
Found as a stray who could not use her left rear leg. The shelter had radiographs taken and were advised she needed FHO
surgery. The shelter could not come up with the funds or a foster home.
She already looks happier (maybe something to do with pain meds?)

This is the most handsome and sweetest boy in the whole world. He has very quickly become a favorite amongst the staff here. Hes a quiet and gentle soul who just wants to be loved. He’s loyal and calm and enjoys just sitting with his people. After weeks/months of running the streets, he was brought in by the ACO and received the medical care he needed for an embedded collar around his neck and now he’s ready to find his family. If you’d like to meet this sweet fella, please stop by the shelter.

🐾6 adoptions (3 kittens and 3 dogs)!

Eugene, the stray from Pike St with quite the fan club, had a couple visitors this morning!

A little update:
Eugene has finished his rounds of medication and will go in for surgery on September 13th to figure out what’s going on with his mouth! If you’d like to assist with the cost of his surgery and the medical care of our other critters, you can stop by and make a donation at the shelter or mail it to us at 1751 New Lair Rd!
