February is Valentines month, but it’s also NATIONAL PET DENTAL HEALTH MONTH, share the love ❤️ with you pet 🦷 😻🫶

While regular dental checkups are essential to help maintain your pet’s dental health, there are a number of signs that dental disease has already started. If you notice any of the symptoms below, an examination by a veterinarian is recommended:

•Red swollen gums and brownish teeth.

•Bad breath—Most pets have breath that is less than fresh, but if it becomes truly repugnant, similar to the smell of a rotten egg, it’s a sign that periodontal disease has already started.

•Bleeding from the mouth.

•Frequent pawing or rubbing at the face and/or mouth.

•Reluctance to eat hard foods—for example, picking it up and then spitting it out.

One major and life threatening risk in the future when you don’t get your female animals spayed ? A pyometra! A pyometra (or pyo for short) is a secondary injection that occurs as a result of hormonal changes in the female reproductive track.
The right side is a nice healthy uterus and the left is a open pyo (the uterus is filled with puss) from here in our clinic.
