Tons and tons of hay (literally) is being delivered today. Please keep the front of the hay barn clear to allow easy access for the bale wagon.

If you see Hayden around the barn, thank him. It takes a special kind of hard worker to stack tens of thousands of pounds of hay in the heat of summer.

What a year it has been. I always wish we could keep them all but feel very grateful we are able to keep two and my grandmother will keep a third. We are so excited for the new owners of our babies and will enjoy all the time we have left with them, until they go to their new homes later this year.

Shout out to Lacey Sullivan, who after spending the week at horse camp, still had the energy to pressure wash the cross tie area. It looks so beautiful and shiny clean… let’s do our best to clean up after the horses and keep it looking this clean. Thank you Lacey!

Self-clean stalls: please dump your manure waste into the manure pile in front of the runs of the smaller barn (pic below). We are going to clean-up the N end of the barn where the current manure pile is and use the spot pictured below for the summer.

I’ll take w**d whacking and mowing any day over snow plowing and breaking ice. I cannot express how much I love this time of the year and how motivated I feel when the sun and warm weather hits.

Come play in the obstacles or get some conditioning laps on the 0.7 mile riding track.

We have 2 upcoming full-care board openings (May 11th and June 8th). Includes a stall in the main barn with a large attached run (25’x100’). Grass and/or alfalfa fed twice per day, we will feed your grain. Access to indoor arena (100’x200’), full-court dressage arena (60m x 20m), outdoor arena, two round pens, conditioning track, cross-tie’s, cold water wash rack, onsite restrooms, etc.

Additional current openings for self-clean stall board w/large attached run or self-clean box stalls.

This is why we love the Appaloosa’s we breed here. Great confirmation and even better dispositions. The color is a bonus.

For a lightly started young stud, he didn’t hesitate to cross the bridge and has always given me so much try in anything I’ve asked him to do. Excited to see and work with some of his future babies.

It is horse show weekend at the farm! With all the extra energy and excitement, a few things to be mindful of:

1. Watch your speed coming in and out and go slowwwww. Lots of horses and kids about.

2. No turning out in the outdoor arena. Please use the round pens instead as we will have a lot of riders around the two arena spaces.

3. Saturday is dressage. The outdoor dressage arena will be used and riders will be warming up in the outdoor arena. Please ride in the indoor, round pens or track.

4. Sunday is jumper day. Jumps will be set up in the outdoor arena and riders will be warming up in the indoor. Please plan to ride in the dressage arena, round pens or track.

It’s going to be busy and fun! Come watch some of it and cheer on our fellow boarders who will be competing and showing off their skills. Let’s look out for each other, clean-up and have a safe horse-filled weekend.
