Day 9 of Denali. Slept all night in my room. Got up and went for a walk. He so loves his walks. Came back spent some time in the crate again slept some more. Then afternoon we had our first outdoor play session. He kept pushing Freyja and she handled him perfectly. We of course would step in when she looked like she had enough. He really just wants to hump all the time still 🤦🏼♀️. But he got the hint more today that it’s not ok. It’s a process for sure. Freyja wanted to play with him so we let it happen till she snapped at him that was the sign of all done. He got it kinda but kept being a little pushy. All in all the two of them would be fine together if we kept training. It’s just not fair to Freyja to let him be a jerk for a long time. So when she is done she comes to us. She even sits between our legs to get a break. He was so much calmer today and more excited to be outside in the snow. Still doesn’t like going potty alone. My boys have started to notice him more and make some side eye contact and little under breath growls. But they know I won’t put up with it. But they will never be able to be together free someone always has to be crated for safety sakes. Things are going to get rough here as Celestia has put herself into heat 😩 and before you say what do I mean. Some females especially alpha like Celestia can make themselves go into heat early She wasn’t due for 2 more months at least. And Celestia puts herself into heat all the time if another female goes into heat or changes to the pack like another male comes here 🙈. So my level of crazy just intensified 🤪.
Trail walks with Mogwai and Gossamer. Amber and Celestia came along to help. Mogwai still looks back for me all the time. He is very much in tune to what I am doing and where I am. Gossamer is more adventurous.
Late night walk last night. Denali gets scared easy in the dark. To his defense we did have lots of fresh tracks he was smelling. So obviously no guard dog jobs for him in his future 😜🥰. Not that I have ever had a malamute that wouldn’t show you the jewelry for pets.
Denali and I snuggle time so the other dogs can be free in the house for a bit as well. He is so very spoiled. 🤦🏼♀️. He will be an amazing malamute for the right person.
Well Denali did some crate training this morning. You can see he did well for practicing for the opera 🙈 and got the pups to join him of course. Haha 😂. These guys are available If you are looking for some singers
And went out for potty break again. We have deer that come right up to the fence. So I assumed deer but when Freyja started barking for real yep video off. Dogs inside. We also have coyotes that have been close lately foxes and occasional wolves. Freyja won’t bark like that for the deer and she growled.
Brought Denali with me twice today. Cause he can’t be left alone he gets so upset. Found out he actual never ever been alone in his own house even. So everything is making more sense. We will keep working with him
Last update for the night I hope to sleep 🤪. Hope 🙊. So Gossamer was trying to tempt the hand of fate tonight for himself. His uncle Po had a toy and well Goss really wanted it. He was pretty brave with all that talk. Good thing he didn’t act cause pretty sure Unc would have taught him a valuable lesson. And the crying in the back was Denali working on his crate training some more. He has got better and will settle sometimes 🥴
When we were coming back home. I left Denali outside so he could deal with some alone time He was howling most of our walk. But it’s part of him learning to be ok. We always come back to him
They listened very well. At this age they don’t want to wonder off far. It’s scary
Took the pups on some trails today with their aunt Celestia She is so good with listening. Helps them learn.
And I am outside again cause he will not potty unless I go out with him 🙈. He is an odd sort !! I really don’t like getting dressed and having to do this Why I have a huge fenced in yard so at night when it’s freezing I can open the door and let them go 🤦🏼♀️. It’s a good thing I love him. And also good my other dogs are not like this 😆.
