Our clientele comes to us from all over Florida, as well as other States, for annual exams to ensure the continuing health of their bird. Yearly exams are highly recommended because of a bird's ability to not show signs of illness until they are severely ill. It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Dr. Backos who left us on January 10, 2024. As a dedicated bird veterinarian, he touched the lives of many with his gentle, patient, and empathetic nature. His thoroughness and dedication to his work were unmatched, and his clever wit never failed to bring a smile to those around him.

He had a unique gift for listening more than he spoke, and his genuine interest in others was felt by all who knew him. The outpouring of love and support during this difficult time is a testament to the impact he had on so many lives.

We will miss him dearly, but we take comfort in knowing that his legacy will live on through the countless people and birds he has helped over the years. Thank you to everyone who has shown their love and support during this time.
