I asked a friend if he could make light snacks for Jim's Party last night. This amazing massive charcuterie platter is what he "threw" together. The picture does not do justice to this work of art. Thank you so much Ryan! Ryan James Mueller owns Stubborn Mule Catering. We have had him cater several events at the stable and now this. Check our the FB page. Stubborn Mule does it all from weekly meals to catering large events. Ryan has never let us down.

Amusing moment of the day. I went to a local grocery with a specialty in Indian cooking. I took my 4 # bag of turmeric to the checkout along with a really interesting looking bag of chick pea based snacks.
The very nice young man at the checkout looked at my turmeric, looked at me, looked back at my turmeric and said, "Do you do a lot of Indian cooking?"
I am sure he was concerned I had no idea what I was doing, and was prepared to direct me to the smaller packets.
I said, "Yes I do. However, I also use turmeric as a supplement for horses to reduce inflammation."
He had a good laugh and proceeded. I love these moments.

The last 3 years Trident has had a "kitten" project. As of now we have had over 60 Cats/Kittens that we have taken in and made healthy. We have found great homes for them and assured they were spayed/neutered. We have one little gray and white kitten looking for a home this year. I will get pictures posted, but let me know if you need a new family member.

I have a unique ask. I know a lovely little girl who needs to have transfusions every 2-3 weeks. Because of this she has a port placed in her chest for venous access. Kids at school have been picking on her about her port and her frequent health procedures. She is feeling pretty bad about this. When talking with her mom today I asked if she knows anyone else with a port. She doesn't. We would like to find someone with a port who would be willing to talk to this kiddo and make her feel less alone in this aspect. If anyone knows of someone, please PM me.

All the feels.

It's incredibly humbling to know that the things I pour my heart and soul into make a difference. I could not be more honored not only that my people thought enough of me to write letters detailing why they ride with me, but that Courtney Hayden-Fromm and the Sweet Summertime crew is also firmly behind our Para efforts. We'll change the world for the better! Or at least our little corner of it, one tiny piece at a time.
