COVID-19 Update for Best Friends Animal Clinic and Holistic Pet Care Center
Hello pet lovers,
I want to address what we are doing at the two clinics to reduce exposure for our clients. The fact is that your pets still need healthcare....maybe even more so now that people are going to be spending much more time sequestered away from other people and relying on their pets for the emotional support needed to get through this global pandemic.
Rest assured that we will use all the resources available to us including our extensive knowledge of holistic options for health care to make this go as smoothly as possible.
-Curb side service. You can now call us when you get to the clinic and we will pick up your pet for services inside and return them straight back to you when done.
-Complete private checkout in the room. We are now equipped to totally handle each visit in the exam room including the checkout process so that you can come in, go straight to the exam room, and when done, go straight out to your car which will limit your exposure.
-Get your prescriptions by mail. We can refill your meds, heartworm and flea and tick products just by calling us. We will be offering reduced shipping of $4 flat fee for any shipment until May 1. Fleas, ticks and mosquitoes don't know about any other pandemic out there and we are predicted to have a rough year with parasites because the winter was so mild.
-Toxic free sanitizing. Many of you know that we clean our exam rooms with an all natural Household Cleaner which has recently been proven to work just as well as Clorox with none of the odor or toxicity issues. We will also keep spraying our hands, and the pets can even be sanitized with this spray! If you want to learn more about how to have a toxic free home and learn about the use of Essential Oils, just give us a call.
-Educating through Zoom. We have been educating people through meetings at the clinic with our essential oil introduction classes and now we will be opening up to discuss more modalities like acupuncture, ozone therapy, homeopathy and herbs via the internet. Follow our page for event notifications.
-Telemedicine. If you are already a client and we have seen your pet within the last 12 months, we may be able to help out with telephone or video conferencing. Please realize that this is for "up-to-date" pets that we already have a legal veterinary client patient relationship established and we will be limiting the types of cases to be handled remotely.
-Credit through Care Credit and Scratchpay. If this crisis has challenged your income, please, for your pets' sake, get approved for Care Credit ahead of the need before your work history falls off. Call for details.
We will all get through this together and let's not undervalue the emotional role our best friends will be playing during these unusual times. They deserve your care and our attention and we are gearing up to make it happen for you.
