Dear Happy Tails Family,

Life is ever changing. We experience change every day. Some changes are huge and disruptive. Some are so small we may not even notice them. A couple years ago, I had some major life changes. I have been working hard at creating a normal, healthy, enjoyable life for myself.

Now, one of the biggest changes I am making in my life will be my location. This is both scary and exciting for me. I will be moving my family of 4, ‘Cuda, my English Bulldog, (Hallo)’Weenie, my black cat, and Houdini, my Sesame Street-Smart cat, and myself South!! Alas! I will not shovel snow this winter!

I am ever so grateful that I have earned your trust throughout the years. The many opportunities I had to care for all of your pets. I have cared for your furry, fuzzy, fleeced, hairy, hair-less, feathered, scaled, finned, shelled, all of the above, faithful companions since August 10th, 2015. I was fortunate to serve you. l fell in love with your pets and love(d) them like my own. You ARE an extension of my family.

With my transition, I want to be thoughtful of how this will impact you. I want to make sure I am giving you time to find a new friend for your pets to love.

I appreciate your loyalty, your trust, and your business over the last 9 years. I am grateful to have so many of you and your pets that came into and touched my life. This all leaves me feeling truly blessed. Thank you for everything.

Lots of love and hugs,
Jessi

While you may have seen or read about a local rescue group that has been on the news lately, please note, I am in NO WAY affiliated with them!!!
I do NOT take in any rescues.
I care for YOUR pets.
Don't let the likeness in our names link us together, and tarnish what I have solely worked so hard to establish.

Hello, Happy Tuesday! Crossroads is extremely happy to share with you the following announcement, and with the pending weather this is the perfect weekend to go to the movies and have it support your local animal shelter.

We are really excited about this film, The Year of the Dog. It opens at the St. Michael Cinema on February 24th and features a real-life rescue dog, Caleb, in a lead role.

We are also incredibly grateful that the film is donating 5% of its proceeds locally to Crossroads Animal Shelter and also to over 80 dog rescues and shelters across the country.

We don’t endorse films, but we do support rescue animals like Caleb, so it is in that spirit that we hope you see this film, a poignant story about, two strays: Matt, a loner alcoholic at rock bottom, struggling to maintain sobriety and Yup’ik (Caleb) a rescue dog with an usual athletic gift.

Here’s the trailer for The Year of the Dog and hope you join us at the St. Michael Cinema starting February 24th to help support rescue dogs here at Crossroads Animal Shelter and across the country. Buy your tickets here:
