Today was a very bitter sweet day over here at the shop. Our loved to no end LeAnn, clocked out for her last time with us here at Happy Paws. Tears were shed, stories were shared and hugs were given. LeAnn has been with us for 4 years and as you know, was a jack of all trades! Not only was she the manager of the store, she was the front desk receptionist, assistant groomer, bather, and so much more! If you called to make an appointment she was always the one on the other end of the phone. I’m so beyond excited for her to begin this new chapter in life! As sad as we are, she is going to be amazing at her next endeavor! Thank you for everything you have done! 💙💙💙

Stop on by the salon to pick up your next house scent!! I can’t begin to tell you how amazing these waz melts smell! The wax melts are on consignment coming from “Lit Wicks of Bflo” and are all hand poured from right here in Angola! Not only do they smell amazing, but the scent lasts for a long time!

Please be advised we are closed tomorrow, Monday November 21st. Tomorrow morning the excavator is coming to clean out the parking lot, I tried shoveling the front to the best of my ability. An amazing before and after!! Time got away and this baby has some mats that would not allow us to leave it long, so, we have what we call a “restart” which is when we shave everything off and allow the hair to come back full and clear of mats! 💙💙💙 what an absolute sweetheart to have at the spa today! 🥰🥰🥰

Never a dull moment!! Whomever decided to fill our lock for my front door at the salon sometime between 9:30PM and 10:30 this morning with super glue, I do have cameras and they are being reviewed, also evans police have been notified and a report was made🙌🏻

Hi all Happy Paws customers!! Unfortunately yesterday around 3PM we had a water break in the back of the salon that had flooded the entire back half of the shop. When the incident happened, natural gas began leaking into the shop filling the building extremely fast. I want to say a HUGE thank you to Evans Police and Highland Firehall for getting to the shop as quickly as possible. When authorities got to the shop they worked quickly and safely to get the gas and water shut off to my side of the building. I also want to give a HUGE thank you to my assistant LeAnn and her boyfriend Jacob who has saved the day and the entire salon! She worked hard and fast getting all of the dogs that were in the building out and into her personal car while authorities came. Water was spraying in so fast that she said it was like a hose on full blast at the wall! I at the time was doing my shift at the school district and I got notified about the situation, they covered my position and I got to the salon as fast as possible. We are working hard and diligently to get this issue fixed and get our doors back open. I deeply apologize about the cancellations last night and today due to this problem. Happy Paws will reopen within the next few days once everything gets cleaned up and put back together! I could only imagine the tragedy we could of had! Thank you again to all the authorities and everyone involved for saving the day! Happy Paws is shortly signing off and will be back very soon!

Today I had the honor to teach the juniors in the boces program how to properly groom a K9! What an amazing experience and better yet, it was a pet that is a client at my salon! Thank you Mrs. Valentic for inviting me in for this occasion! I learned from the best! 💙

Not only did we just get a new neon sign in the window, I just installed rubber neon along the roof line!! I am IN LOVE with it!! Reminds me of the days when the building used to be Just Hair and Simply Unique gifts with the purple neon on top! Unfortunately years ago that neon tubing smashed and was no longer workable, now that I installed the rubber neon it is indestructible!! So excited for the new look!!

Hi all! I have had ALOT of customers asking me about collars lately and I started thinking, what are your thoughts if the salon had in stock, these light up cut to size collars?! I have seen many K9’s with these on this summer and I personally think they look super cool, easy to see where your pet is at night while camping or any outdoor festivities. What’s your opinion?! Yay or nay?!

If you ever are wondering who was on the other side of the phone, it’s normally our LeAnn! LeAnn has not only been with our company for 2 years but is one of the most loving and caring employee! She keeps our front desk and bathing room running like a well oiled machine! On the side, LeAnn is also working hard towards her masters degree in social work through the the University of Buffalo! She has conquered already a bachelors in psychology and is still pushing hard for her next degree! All with still making it to work on time every day and never calling off! This appreciation post is so well needed, as she is about to begin her LAST year of college!! LeAnn you have one bright future ahead of you and I’m so happy to have you as apart of the team!! You ROCK!!💙💙💙
