It has been two weeks today that this precious girl had eye enucleation surgery.🥹

She’s spent a lot of time healing in her favorite place… inside a box! 📦📦
(What kitty doesn’t love a box!??😹)

We still aren’t sure how Riley was injured, but we do know that without all of the love and support from all of you, she would not still be living her best life! She is adjusting to being an inside only, one-eyed kitty very very well.♥️❤️♥️

And Riley’s one of the luckiest “Community Cats”… not only did she have a family that is able to take her in and love her Furever…Riley also has a whole bunch of our SOCKs Angels that helped make this surgery happen. So THANK YOU!❤️🥰❤️

Fred & Ginger are gorgeous Buff bonded siblings. (A super rare color!🤍) And they come to us from our partnership with UC Davis. (Ginger’s eye is perfectly imperfect!❤️‍🩹)😻
These babies are the ultimate cuddle buddies and haven’t met a lap they haven’t loved. 😍
They love littles 👶 and Grandma & Papa! 🧓🏻👵🏼
They are study buddies, and will watch videos online and help with homework 📚~ and they love to play with the older kitties! (See video in Facebook comments!)

She has a topical pain medication that will last 5 days, and a much more comfortable cone to wear for recovery! More photos will come~

She is a very loved community cat in need of help!!❤️‍🩹
Riley is approximately 3 years old and spends most of her days lounging about in the yard of her feeder with her brother Ripley.
Unfortunately, Riley will soon become part of the one-eyed wonder club, and although our vet is gracious enough to give our rescue a discount, $1,100 in the middle of kitten season is still a heavy hit.🥺

We are unsure how Riley injured her eye, and are so so grateful for our beloved Veterinarian, Dr Hatt, for getting her in so quickly. After surgery and recovery, her feeder (one of our most beloved foster families) will welcome Riley & Ripley inside where they can be safe and stay together forever.❤️‍🩹❤️♥️😻😻

We thank you in advance however you can help us with this unexpected expense. We have until Tuesday to collect the money for surgery… and today’s unexpected costs, too.❤️‍🩹💔❤️‍🩹

🐈‍⬛🐈Happy International Cat Day🐈🐈‍⬛

In honor of International Cat Day, we felt it was appropriate to share Dylan & Spicy!!❣️❣️

These two gorgeous girls, a dilute calico and a dilute tortie and just stunning in person. They are also loves, with Dylan being a Velcro cat and Spicy entertaining you with her silliness.😍😍

And…. They are our are longest residents. These two stunning beauties have had a few meet & greets through the years, but they are still here with us… two years later.😿😿

And we love them dearly. And we love on them. And they are spoiled rotten. They are the joint queens of our foster kitty domain!
But they really need & deserve their own Happily Ever FurAfter!🥺🥺

Dylan (Dreyer) came to us from Williams with her two brothers, Willard & Scott. (The boys were adopted together quickly. It was a failed situation. They were returned. And now each brother is living their best life, and we cherish the updates.❤️) She was shyer as a kitten, and came in at the time of year when there was so many kittens to chose from… and she was overlooked. I guess. We think she was a beautiful kitten with such unique coloring. 😻

Spicy was trapped at a local high school by a teacher that did her best working with her and her brothers to love humans. The boys were adopted quickly. Spicy (we did not chose the name!😹) took lots of coaxing and Churu treats. And lots and lots and lots of love. And she’s no longer living in the sewer of a high school, and has all the Churu she could ever want!! And she’s simply so pretty with the pink popping through the grey! Plus she’s got that Tortietude!😻

So, both these girls have been waiting patiently. (With more toys and fun stuff to do than you can imagine.)❣️
Everyone only wants to adopt tiny cute kittens. Even though they grow so fast….

And sadly there’s not even enough homes for all these tiny cute kittens… as you can see from all our posts…. 💔💔

Plus we have older kittens ready now, Terrific Teens (that are beyond that crazy kitten phase and ready for bonding!) and frequently we have Amazing Adults, too!❤️

All of our kitties will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption, vaccinated to age appropriate levels, microchipped, Negative for FIV/FLeV and have been treated for parasites and fleas, ticks and ear mites. They are litter box and scratching post trained.
Our adoptions come with comfort items to help the transition to their Furever homes. (Wet & Dry food, toys and a blankie!)
And we welcome you to the ‘Lil SOCKs Family for Life!❣️

These two bonded sweeties are the Pearl & Diamond of our rescue! 💍💎
We could talk for days about the “connections” and how they are meant to be SOCKs babies.♥️♥️

Bella & Bo are the biggest love bugs, they love kiddos, other polite kitties and Hoomans of all ages.

Plus how can you resist their super unique little tails?? ❤️🍑❤️

They have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, treated for parasites & are flea free…. We basically do anything and everything to insure our kitties are happy & healthy… for life!❤️‍🩹❤️♥️

The 3 Survivors…🥺🥺🥺

We don’t know *all* of what these kittens went through …. But a lot of it is pretty unspeakable.💔💔💔

We are, unfortunately, full. Until we can adopt a lot more kittens. Or we win the lottery and have more foster families…. 😿

But. We will still open our hearts and rescue to special kittens…. And these 3 boys are truly special.♥️❤️♥️

The orange boy was found with mom, who will be TNR tomorrow. His siblings(s) “disappeared”.❤️‍🩹

The tabby boy with the white face was found, alive. After his siblings all passed away in the last big heat wave. A very sweet family has been temporarily fostering him until we could take him in.❤️‍🩹

And finally, the tabby boy is a miracle kitten. Per UC Davis: he was found on the side of the road: dehydrated, anemic, very lethargic. He was resuscitated and had a blood transfusion and then developed terrible diarrhea. He also had an Upper Respiratory Infection.❤️‍🩹

We welcome these Survivors with open arms! ❤️❤️❤️

These kittens are the reasons why we do what we do!♥️♥️♥️

And we cannot wait to share videos and photos of these babies growing and thriving and playing and living!!! 😻😻😻

And then finding them their Happily Furever After that they so deserve!!❤️‍🩹❤️♥️

That JOLLY feeling you get when you see sprigs of HOLLY….🌲🌲🌲🌲

Just like the season that inspired our names, we're full of warmth and joy that we would love to share. 🥰♥️🥰♥️

It may be summer but come December don't you want to Rock Around The Christmas Tree with us?🎄🎄🎄🎄

Both Holly & Jolly look like very rare “Foreign White” Siamese. And Holly is stunning with her heterochromia eyes. Her brother Jolly has piercing blue eyes.

And Jingle (female) and Jangle (male), look like also rare, Blue Point Siamese. (To us, we love them all same no matter looks, and they are ALL just beautiful kittens!❣️)

All four kittens have sleek very exotic thin bodies…. Even though they are very very good eaters! 😹

These babies are finally big enough to have their “Spa Day” next week and then go to their Furever homes. Our first priority will be finding Purrfect homes where two (or more!😉) can stay together Furever!♥️♥️♥️♥️

All of our kitties are spayed/neutered. Vaccinated to age appropriate levels, microchipped, dewormed, FIV/FLeV tested and flea, tick and ear mite treated.

Kitties also get a “comfort kit” when they go home with a new blankie, special toys, and their favorite wet and dry food.
We never stop caring for our babies, and we provide lifetime support and assistance. We want to make sure the kitty is happy & healthy Furever.

Thank you all for your patience as we are busy helping the tiniest of our community members right now.❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹

Normally we would leave babies with their mamas until they are a bit bigger, but with this heatwave, along with the fireworks…. Well. 😬🥺🥺🥺😿

If anyone is able to foster, help transport or even temporarily foster, please reach out to us!❤️❣️❣️❣️❣️

And please leave out bowls of ice water, frozen water bottles or anything else that you can think of to help keep our kitties (and doggos) that are outside cool! 😎❄️😰😥
