We had a busy day today at the Acres! Lots of visitors. Benjamin was charming as usual, but all of the girls and their crias were curious.

The Murphy family and friends came to visit today. They brought me these beautiful flowers from their garden. Such a fun visit! Thank you for the flowers. :)

Casie blessed us with a little boy today. She is one of the llamas we are boarding. More pictures to follow. Mom and cria are healthy and happy.

A special thanks to Doug and Amanda Happy Rock Farm for their help today. The bonus was this sweet little girl loving on this sweet llama cria. Thankfully llamas grow up quicker than humans, but this was a precious moment caught on film.

We took a quick trip to Dodge this morning and met up with . She introduced us to this WAY too cute baby llama on her farm. I love seeing other people's farms and animals. I don't plan on ever getting a llama but if I did... it would be this one. ;) His name was Benjamin. 😍

Last night my dad called to tell me a storm was coming. The skies were blue. I laughed at him, mainly because he doesn't always know which town are where out here. He said I didn't have to believe him. Within a half hour, the winds came up, broker some corner posts and damaged some corral panels beyond use. It also lifted our girls lean to and moved it to the biys' pasture. Guess what we're doing today?

Congratulations to Rainier on his first cria. A girl born to Highness from Coal Country Alpacas. Both Highness and Rainier are originally from Ten Seven Acres. Welcome little one!

Today the farm had some visitors. The neighbor's dogs were exploring the town and ended up at our pasture. The llamas were not happy about this and continued to scan the perimeter for hours.

All of our animals generally get along. This is the first time I have seen an alpaca and a goat cuddled up. Kingston and Lincoln are good pals.

Sad day here at The Acres. We lost our sweet Honor overnight. She was our first cria born here and our first alpaca loss. Rest in peace, sweet girl. We will miss you. 8/21/20-2/12/21.

Hello all. Unfortunately we have had to cancel our pumpkins with the pacas event. The weather is not cooperating and the Covid cases are rising. If we have an early spring, we will do an Easter egg hunt!

In the mean time, I will offer individual farm visits. The cost will be $5/person with a max of $15/family. Time will be 45 minutes with the possibility to walk an alpaca. This will also include treats to feed the alpacas.

Please contact me if you would like to schedule a farm visit.

Today Lakaia, her grandma, and her dad stopped by for a visit. They are repeat visitors at the farm. Lakaia was able to spend a bit of time learning about alpacas and even got to walk one (with her daddy's help, of course.) I'd say the visit was a success.

Two new felines have moved in to guard our herds from gophers and mice. Meet Greycie and Salem. They will be confined for a couple of weeks so they know where their home is.

Introducing our first cria born at the Acres! Meet Miss Honor! She was born today 8/21/20 to our girl Mirimar. Kingston is her full sibling and Tillie is her half-sister. Mom and baby are doing great!

Finn came for a board and train session. He was very fearful of almost all things new and all men. He grew leaps and bounds while he was here and by the end of his stay was able to tolerate men. Such a handsome guy! We hope he comes back to visit.
