Burnt Sienna — A warm, reddish brown. More red than rust and red brown. Applications: Whitetail, gamehead and mammal eyes, ears and noses as well as adding reddish tones to mouth areas. Many uses for toning cold and warmwater fish fins and bodies, especially Brown Trout spots. Also reptiles, snakes and habitat.

Transparent Payne’s Grey — A cool, bluish grey formulated for a variety of uses including duck bills and feet as well as cold and warmwater fish.

We spent a lot of time today getting our glass eyes ready to pack up!

For almost 3 years Tim and I have been working on developing multiple styles of eyes. Our glass white-banded Whitetail eye just happens to be the first one that we have brought to the finish line. We started from casting a real eye, making a lense, and MANY steps later we finally have a final product. Tim and I will continue to work tirelessly on our other innovative eyes that we plan debut in the coming months. Pre-sales on these glass eyes will start Monday and I will be live to tell you all about them!

Rust — A Midwestern favorite! A warm, reddish burnt umber. More red than red brown but not as red as burnt sienna. For use on some Whitetail, gamehead and mammal eyes, ears and noses as well as adding reddish tones to mouth areas. Also for toning cold and warmwater fish fins and bodies, reptiles, snakes and habitat.

Trout Green - A warm pale green with beige undertones. Used primarily for warmwater and coldwater fish for toning backs and fins. Can also be used as a less yellow light bass green.

True Yellow— A clean, vibrant yellow with many uses in waterfowl and fish taxidermy.

Orange Red - A bright red, with a slight orange hue for use on pheasant wattles, turkey heads, wood duck bills and eye rings, as well as fish gills.

Retarder - A clear lacquer additive used to extend the drying time of lacquer paint. Especially useful when painting fine detail for extended periods of time, such as spots on fish. Keeps paint from drying on the tip of your airbrush, preventing spitting. Will also reduce “blushing” or fogging of lacquer paint when used in high humidity conditions. Only small amounts are needed.
