We are excited to offer this exceptional Gelding at Salmon Select Horse sale this year on April 13th.

Party Animal is an AQHA 7yr old dark liver Chestnut Gelding that stands 14.3 hands. This is a gorgeous young horse in the prime of his life. He is a finished Ranch Rope and Trail gelding deluxe. This guy is super friendly, kind, and gentle every time you go catch him. Ride him saddled or ba****ck, he doesn’t care. Has a long thick mane that hangs below his neck and is very eye-catching. This horse is good to rope on outside or in the arena. We have team roped on him and he can rope both ends. Really excels in the heeling. Has also had some breakaway calves roped on him. This guy has been to some jackpots and small Rodeos. He really does things correct and has a big sliding stop. He has a great one hand neck, rein and will spin both directions and lopes pretty circles. Good to sort cows on and really tries to read the play and help you however he can. Absolutely no buck or silly business with this guy at all.

He is very easy to operate and has had young and old riders. He has a good fast ground covering walk and is great to go to the mountains and down the trails on. He is not spooky or watchy of things along the way. He crosses all the different obstacles with ease and is great to shoe trailer and bathe. He has drug hundreds of calves to the Branding fire and is a super handy little horse. He could be used for so many different disciplines. He could be an awesome little team penning horse.

This is one of those horses that you can lay him off as long as you need and he will be great when you go catch him up. Can’t say enough good about this horse. We have some good purebred Border Collie pups for sale. Both parents are excellent working dogs and great with kids. These pups should be really smart and have a lot of bite and grit.

The sire is has worked both cows and sheep and has plenty of bite for a mean old cow or bull but enough sense to get the sheep in without hurting them. He’s really tough, will go all day and won’t back down if a cow turns around to fight him.

If you’re looking for your next cowdog or just a great addition to the family and your next trail partner, these pups should be really nice and love playing with the kids.

Mahogany is a 6yr old grade beautiful Blood Bay Gelding that stands 15 hands tall. this gorgeous guy is a very good minded finished ranch, and trail gelding that has a great handle on him. He will one hand neck rein, and has all the leg cues on him. This horse lopes beautiful circles in the arena and has a big stop. He will pick up his leads both directions, and is a very easy, elegant, moving horse. He is very smooth and always makes easy transitions. He has been used on the ranch roping and doctoring cattle in the pasture and has had some arena time as well. He has been roping the lead steer at home and would easily finish into a switch ender team roping horse with little effort. he is very friendly and easy to catch and handle on the ground. There is not a mean bone in this horse anywhere. He is kind and honest and will get you there and back safe and sound. You can lead him up to a fence climb up on the rail and smooch to him and he will swing himself over and let you aboard. Will also do that on the back step of your trailer or a mounting block. He is still just a six year old and I’m sure there are things he hasn’t seen in the world yet, but he is very trainable and handles new situation as well. He has logged countless miles going down the trail and exploring the high mountain country. He is sure footed, and will really walk out fast. This is a really special individual that has done us a great job and hate to see him go. saddles up the same even after being laid off and stays broke. He is grade ,however he is by a son of Docs Mahogany. This horse crosses, water, and all the other obstacles with ease. You can pull the calf sled on him to bring calves out of the field during calving season. Or just pull the kids around and have a fun day. This guy would be an asset to anyone’s program that just wants an easy-going, friendly, hard-working, gelding in the string that is family friendly. Splash is an 8 yr old grade sorrel QH gelding that stands 15 hands. This horse is a good looking gelding chromed up all the way around. He has two blue eyes and is wild colored. This good looking dude is an experienced ranch and trail horse and has done most of the ranch chores and knows what a cow is. He is very well broke with a one hand neck rein and will move off your legs. He is good to open and close gates off of and is very handy broke to use in most every situation. He is good to go down the trails on and is good at crossing all of the water obstacles deadfall and brush. He Will walk out good or just put around slow. Which ever you would prefer. He is not Cinchy or broncy and is gentle to be around. He will lope pretty circles and will stop on the word whoa. This guy has been all over the mountains exploring the back country and mountain lakes. He will hobble and highline and you can pony other horses from him. This guy is good to shoe. “Bo” is a gorgeous 12 yr old AQHA reg Strawberry Roan gelding that stands 15h tall and is stout made. This is a family safe and friendly gelding that is very well broke and has been used as a ranch and trail horse most of his life. He has also been to the horse shows and has been shown in western pleasure , trail classes and English and has done very well. He loves to go over the jumps and has been ridden by young and old. This horse is push button broke to ride in every way and is easy to be around and operate. Has had a lot of feedlot use and will really watch a cow. Lopes beautiful circles and will turn around correct both directions and is good with his leads.There is no hump, buck or silliness in him and is a joy to ride whatever you are doing. This horse has also been used as a Team Roping horse Heading and Heeling steers in the arena. He has been used as a mounted shooting horse and is not afraid of gunfire. This horse is an elegant moving individual that is very willing and trainable. This horse is excellent on the ranch and has drug calves to the branding fire and takes everything in stride. He walks out fast when going down the trail and is not a spooky horse by nature. He is very easy to catch, great for the horse shoer and has no vices or bad habits. He is trained to sidestep over to the fence when you smooch to him and he will let you climb up and step on. He is completely sound in every way and is safe for the whole family. 🔸Cash is an AQHA registered 13 year old Bay Roan gelding that stands 15 hands and is stout made. This horse is a very well trained finished Team Roping Horse and Breakaway Calf Roping horse. You can Head or Heel on this guy and he knows his jobs well. This horse has been to the High School State Finals and High School National Finals in Team roping and breakaway roping. This horse is a solid all around Rope Horse as well as being an awesome ranch and trail horse. He has drug hundreds of calves to the Branding fire. Knows all the different ranch chores and is fancy broke to ride. Good to side pass and open and close gates off of. This horse was trained as a rein cow horse When he was younger. He is really good cutting and sorting cattle and has a ton of natural rate and cow sense.This horse will turn around correct and really roll over his hocks. This has been my personal go to horse and have taken him to rodeos and team roping‘s and he has done us a great job. Always stays true and solid in high pressure situations. This horse is extremely kind and gentle to be around on the ground and will always come right up to you when you head to the corral.
