Featured Friend Friday!

Meet Rae, our sweet lil pittie mix friend. Rae has been visiting while her family travels for over two years now. Our original plans got cancelled due to the pandemic, but we stayed in touch, had a few play dates and waited out the COVID storm. By the time Disney World opened back up again, I had moved from CT to VT… but we still made it work. While her pawrents fly south for vacation, Rae prefers traveling north… especially to see her doppelgänger Riley.

Introducing… ba bada baaa... RILEY! She’s the gal you’ll see featured on this page more than any other because, well, she’s my one and only!

Riley’s been with me over 3 years now and we’ve been through it all! We hiked mano a mano from Canada to Connecticut via the LT, we camped in my Outback to escape the pandemic, we had a stint as innkeepers, tiny house builders, foster parents, chicken tenders, and we house sat in four different states, making more canine friends than Riley can count.

She is sassy, vocal, unbelievably fast, and the perfect companion. Riley had to learn how to navigate other dogs’ turf when we house sat, so now she’s well prepared to show our visitors the lay of the land. She leads packs through the woods and corrects puppies like a boss mom, but she is much more likely to greet the two legged.
